😂 Wonderful. Thank you for this review of Tam Dao, and I think the pepper sauna was hilarious. I liked the charm of the original drawing as it’s not overly complex, but has plenty of light and shade. I ended up buying Tam Dao as it felt like a more adaptable scent to the Australian climate.

0:28 No. It's not China, Vietnam instead. Tam Dao is a district in Vietnam btw. The creater spent his childhood in Tam Dao and Do Son, he came back to visit both of these places and later we have Diptyque Do Son/ Tam Dao.

Oh yes, it is in Viet Nam! Just rewind a few seconds back 0:21. I actually quoted their official website, which described Tam Dao as "a memory from the holy forests of Indochina". However, Indochina is long gone, right? I guess Diptyque just wanted to use a historical term :)

I send mine back to diptyque because i thought it was a fake. I remembered a square bottle with a green liquid and a heavenly green,deep rich "nature" scent that lasts mich,much longer than this one. When i first saw the transparent color of the new tam dao i was a little nervous but i didnt think that they changed it so drastically. It was just the smell of a pencil with "milky" sandalwood and it lasts for 2 hours and the protection is zero. Diptyque blaned it all on me and that my olfactive senses. I got it back with a sample of the eau de toilette version of tam dao and a writing that says:, maybe you find the tam dao scent that you look for in the eau de toilette version of tam dao,even if i wrote my whole story and the reason why i send it back .😠. They made me feel like a crazy or stupid person. I never buy anything from them again.
