Lukashenko: I know and understand Belarus' place in the system of coordinates of today's planet. Nevertheless, as a representative of a winner nation I address nations of Western countries. I emphasize: my today's address is for you, people who are just like us. Your politicians have done a lot for you to forget to whom the world owes liberation from fascism. Few people living outside Belarus and Russia today know that World War Two was won by Soviet soldiers, by the Soviet Union. Few know that the second front the West talks so much about now was opened only in summer 1944 when the impending victory of the Soviet Union became obvious!
Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko took part in a wreath-laying ceremony at the Victory Monument on the occasion of the 77th anniversary of the Great Victory and addressed nations of the West.
