That kit sounds great. You could literally take that to any drum session, and it would fit in without any issues. Resonant, yet responds fast to your hits.

@15Shenlong Custom refers to the lacquer finish, and hyperdrive refers to the tom sizes. His looks like a custom hyperdrive set, because he's got the shallow (hyperdrive) toms, and a lacquer finish.

For anyone who is wondering I believe this an Superstar classic and not the Hyperdrive , I believe this because unless he got a custom shell, the Hyperdrive does not come in that color and only the superstar classic does. I could be wrong but I believe this is not the Hyperdrive.

remember this video is 6 years old, and the hyperdrive actually used to come in this finish. look at the 12 tom. that is a hyperdrive tom and not your average depth tom

This is the superstar custom hyperdrive. He played this kit at the meinl festival. The classics didn’t even exist when hannes made this video. He is a tama artist so he can get one time finishes on kits the public can’t get. Even if this isn’t a finish for the hyperdrives then he prolly asked for it who knows but I do know it’s definitly the tama superstar custom hyperdrive kit. He used this kit for a long time before getting upgraded to Starclassics.
