I think this ad is tooo dated on the way the product is displayed, also should include at least a tiny video with the playing and overall sound, besides that, it looks really something else on a practice and portable kit, the height adjustment and those little balls seems to add a more real drums experience.. i use a eletronic drum pad and pad on a snare stand, but it still too far from a real drumming practice.

It's $500. If you save another $500 you could own a decent E-Kit instead of something that is used for one purpose only. I'm not bashing the idea cause I see what they're going for but idk a single reason why a drummer would pay this much for practice pads.

Which is nowhere near real feel (or sound for that matter). You will _never_ become a good drummer on a TD07. It's a toy. While this training kit will certainly allow you to progress as a musician.

A little too pricey if you ask me? $500 for a 4 piece and $600 for a 5 piece. To me the point of a practice pad kit is to make as little as sound as possible? These almost sound like you’re playing buckets! And the cymbals they’re using in this video are a lot louder than you would think!!! This would never work in an apartment or college dorm room environment! Better off spending $300-$500 on a decent electronic kit. You could use that in a live setting at least. It’s a great concept and all, I just don’t see a huge market for it? That’s just my opinion though.

Respectfully I don’t really agree with this. I think it feels very nice indeed, and is very solid in terms of build. I appreciate that it costs more than might seem worth it, and of course you have to add cymbals, and a few stands, but I honestly think long term it is a better investment than an electric kit at a similar price point. I have a TD11, with all mesh heads and the TAMA feels so much better. I will be using it to teach on, as I think it is that good. I have Zildjian L80 cymbals and I think they balance very nicely with it actually, especially since oftentimes people over hit cymbals. Thus, to train kit balance in terms of relative volumes, it is actually spot on. My view, of course.

After living in an apartment for the last 3 years, and trying an ekit once more, I decided to go with this because of the real feel and sound. I still feel it is pricey, but it is very well made and haven’t had an issue yet.

I love Tama, which is why when I say I'm disappointed in this product, it's because I expect more from you. "Snare" ball bearings just sandwiched in between foam padding? How the hell did you not consider a mesh head with a snare bed on the bottom? The tom pads aren't tunable. Let's just call the tom pads what they really are. Those are buckets. Little pails mounted by clamps. I know that someone's going to tell me it's a practice kit. Well, when I want to practice quietly, I use mesh head silencers. Tama could have made a partnership with the company that makes these silencers to create a far superior product.

Have tried this kit at a shop. It’s nowhere near playing an acoustic kit, like at all. Not sure why Tama is doing it to be honest. It’s not good for their brand. And the price is just off the charts. There are far better products on the market at this price point.

Seriously Tama? I think you missed the boat here. Heard of e-kits? They too are designed to mirror acoustic kit feel. But they do one better; they give you realistic and surreal audible feedback. No thank you - I'll just keep playing my quiet e-kit. But it is way more fun than this can ever be. Why not develop an e-kit with this so-called "real mirrored" feel?

Making this an ekit would price it out of most people's range plus require more r&d than they are willing to do to develop a drum brain. They have done the right thing, if this sells I'm sure they would consider making an electronic version
