I can't connect my original with my re-release! Bummer. Are you trying to connect two of the same version? Make sure you only press B on one of them while is says "Stand By"

I'm wondering if you can disassemble the re-release and use it to replace parts of an original v3 as a means of refurbishing it. I've heard that the old board is incompatible with the new shell, but other parts like the screen, buttons, etc. I wonder if anyone's tried that.

Just listened to my old tamagotchi v3 and yes there is a faint beeping if you hold it to your ear which is cute, never noticed before but yes it sounds a bit like a heart beat ❤ i love my v3 tamagotchis and my v4's and 4.5's i hope they redo the v4 and v4.5 tamagotchis too.

Thank you for the video. Here the contrast doesn't look too bad. Hopefully it's not like the tamagotchi connection v5-v6, which had very bad contrast. One thing I noticed is that the tamagotchi is now on the "ground", while the old version of the connection v1-v2-v3-v4, they were always in the middle of the screen

​@@BimbilinaYes, I really like that they were in the center, but at least it keeps the same animations and random movement patterns that the old tamagotchi connection does (random jumpings, right to left movements etc), so I don't see it as boring haha

That costalation design is so beautiful, hope they bring a lot of the old shell designs back even if there not V3 designs. Theres a Galaxy one in the V5 that I really like, would love to see it on a regular not familitchi design

Interesting to see that on the original V3 it's "P" for "Points" and the weight is in pounds whereas on the re-release it's "G" for "Gotchi points" and the weight is in grams.

I don’t like how there seems to be a constant faint background of pixels that I don’t recall being this intense on the originals. Maybe I’m mistaken. But I don’t see that on your original v3 here 🤔. Is that faint pixel background visible IRL? Edit: I know you said something about the contrast being darker but I’m honestly not quite sure what that means 🤣☺️

Just learned about the re-release of this line and i'm excited to get one to join my small connection :) Thank you for this revew! I'd say the changes or rather 'splicing' of functionalities and content they did gives the best of both worlds and i'm glad it wasn't just a copy-and-paste affair (Sadly, most of the shell designs don't really speak to me, so i guess blue bubbles is the one i'll go with)

If I'm not mistaken, with tickets on the original v3 you got the souvenir after entering the code in Tama Town, but the animation was on the actual tama as well as the site. I'm guessing the ones on the 20th anniversary device just don't have the code, and maybe give you the souvenir for "free".

As the hobby has grown exponentially with newcomers, the demand for the older models have risen, which has lead to these sorts of prices I believe. It's supply and demand. Some of these prices are quite shocking for sure. But the great thing about the connection re-release is that it'll be affordably priced and readily available. :)

The japanese and globals share the same programming, so you will have 0 issues :)

What are the screens like? My uni is so prone to scratches it’s crazy. So it looks like they scrapped the cheap quality and made them back how they were with the original release, as I see no noticeable scratches or buffs on the new one Maybe it’s too new to tell, but I reaaaallly hope the quality is better than the uni screens
