This is why I’d recommend Japan You Want. It’s really no more expensive than Amazon but you don’t get any annoying sticker barcodes over your box. And you can choose what level of shipping you want, I go for faster & secure EMS. As a collector that barcode label would really annoy me so if you’re looking for an alternative, I’d recommend Japan You Want. I used them for all my colour Tama, including my latest preorder for the Sanrio Meets that Bandai just announced!

Thankfully, I can remove the sticker with a hair dryer; I just have to wait until the Tama is out of the box so I'm not accidentally heating it up XD I'll for sure try Japan You Want someday! For this order though, Amazon JP was cheaper. I didn't preorder, so I was able to price compare before buying. After shipping, Amazon was $53.59, and JYW was $71.99 (USD). Maybe it's just where I live! I seriouslyyyy cannot wait for the Sanrio Meets!!! The Sanrio Mix so far is my favorite Tama; hopefully it will be just as good!

Additionally I got my hubby a Pastel from Japan You Want. The purple one. The listing said it was the Egg or Easter one while the lighter shell Pastel was the Flower Town one. But who knows. It’ll be interesting to see if there are any differences.

Loved this video so much! My white Pastel Meets came with a scratch on the screen as well and I was super angry. I put a screen protector on it and now I can't see it but it still annoys me!

It looks really beautiful, can't wait to receive mine! It's a shame about the scratches; my 20th anniversary mix did have light scratches when I took it out of the box (it was new), I wonder if the plastic covering it is at fault? They should probably put a protective screen on them (just like on phones).

I agree-- a protective piece of plastic would probably prevent the scratches during transportation! And have you received yours yet?! I'm curious to hear what others think of the Pastel!

The shell is absolutely beautiful, however mine came with a line of missing paint (or some kind of smudge?) on the top gold part, as well as a scratch under the A button (sigh). Nothing too major but still. I'm looking forward to unlock the new locations, especially Easter Land! Let's hope these Pastel Meets don't glitch!

The Meets and the ONs seem to be so easily scratched. I wonder how they will hold up in the future. I want the Sanrioi Meets although. $100 Canadian...sheesh.

Omg I was SUPER excited to come on today and find this because I pre-ordered mine from JYW and am still waiting for it. I pre-ordered mine back in February so it feels like forever! I could see the scratches briefly when the screen was off. I will say that my Pastel ALSO had a small scratch on the side of the screen as well as a pink smudge on the shell which ultimately wiped away and I almost fell like it might have been... Lipstick? So sorry to see you didn't get a pristine product

I wonder if my other color Tamas in the past had light scratches right out of the box, and I never noticed? That is very weird that yours had a smudge on the shell! I'm glad it wiped away.

Looked up this video as I just bought and received my own White Pastel Meets from Amazon Japan and mine also came with a scratch :) Mine is just one short one across part of the face plate, definitely a little disappointing particularly if you plan to collect + sell on. I would certainly be more annoyed if my scratches had been on the screen instead! I will however praise that Amazon JP and the courier, DHL got my new tama to me in the UK within 3 days over a weekend! If anyone knows where to find a growth chart/guide for this tama I'd appreciate it

Please do a walk through. I am awful with the language barrier but just got my Pastel Meets. Unless this is the exact same as the original Meets just the characters and backgrounds are more geared toward spring?

Essentially, it is the same as the original Meets! A couple of the characters, two locations, and the games are geared toward spring. The other elements are identical :)

Wow these have gotten a lot more expensive, from what I saw so far I am not seeing a reason they cost that much. My kids had them 20+ years ago, I know prices have gone up but that's just crazy.

Yeah, they definitely cost a lot more than they did back then. The technology is a lot different, which contributes a lot to the cost; the full color screen, connectivity, etc. Sometimes you can get a good deal! A few months ago, I bought a used Tamagotchi with a color screen online for less then $20!

I got the magic meets, found out a week ago that there's a save data bug in the fairy and magic meets. People say it might be associated with the app. Do you know if the bug got fixed in the pastel version?

As of right now, it is unknown if that (or any of the bugs) have been fixed in the Pastel version. It's just too soon to tell. However, I have unfortunately seen one video of the Pastel Tama freezing.
