I feel like a white man put that woman in charge and she probably didn't even want the role and clearly had no idea of what she was doing. Mind you, I know that our sex is overall oppressed in the world and that business. However, with the oppression of women and POC, black women are the most oppressed. I am a white Russian woman who's a duel citizen and have been viewed as a communist. Ya know "The Red Scare" Although, I was born after. Look at our Orange in office now sucking the Dictator's dick now. How funny. But anyway. I've seen how men treat women. Well here’s the thing with “The Real” that show has never been a highly political and race driven show. It’s always been that fun show that was geared at teenagers and young adults, which covered topics about lifestyle, fashion, and things of that nature. I don’t personally agree with folks feeing a way because they’re too “cookie cutter” and etc. Every show on daytime doesn’t have to be serious. That’s what “The View” and “The Talk” is for. & the. You have news channels such as CNN and MSNBC and etc that cover serious topics 24/7. Sometimes people want an escape. I never hear people badgering Wendy Williams to talk about more serious topics, y’all take her show for what it is, fun and free spirited. Amanda Seales was NEVER a good fit for that show, she was very naive to think she would come on a show that was there before her and change the whole entire existence overnight. She should either get her own talk show, or join a show that is better suited with her interest. It’s that simple. They brought her on thinking it would bring ratings and controversy. & while there were headline moments the ratings didn’t budge in a drastic way. A lot of the fans of the show started to complain that every day it was a race related topic. & I know some will say well it needs to be talked about, yes it does, but it doesn’t need to happen on “The Real” that show has never been about that life.

On a final note, Tamar seems to have personal accountability issues, possibly if not likely enabled by her family and other relationships. Even in her statement about the network having “coached and cajoled” her and the family to turn against one another. Also they give all the girls the right to express themselves pretty freely in the topics chosen for them but Amanda would always try to bring up some heavy traumatic topic and derail the convo in EVERY segment, this is not that type of show !!! I enjoy most of her banter and view points personally but it was clear she did not know anything about what type of show this was.

Unpopular opinion... How can she feel under paid when she negotiated and signed the contract? How can she compare the amount that she received from WE to how much the Khardashians make on a SEPARATE network? How can someone portray you in a negative light if you don’t do anything negative for them to film? I remember watching a clip of Tamar flipping out because her sisters boyfriend proposed to her on Tamar’s birthday. That was crazy as hell... I like Tamar but I’m not buying this one. She seems like she’s coming unhinged and I don’t think she can place all the blame on WEtv. She is problematic and creates her own problems a lot of the time.

Don’t forget when her sister surprised her at her show and she went straight off. Called them out their names and kicked them off the stage. That proposal situation for her birthday, I myself wanted to slap fire from her mouth. The problem is the public started turning on her. When the show first came on she was the fav, but then these last few years her behavior has become increasingly insane and that’s only herself to blame. She takes no accountability never even apologizes to her sisters for treating them terribly. Not to mention she stays having diff friends. She definitely needs help but I think it’s dead wrong that because she acted an ass and WETV showed her behavior she wants to try and ruin them.

It’s the way Tamar never holds herself accountable, lacks self awareness to acknowledge her responsibility, and attaches her bad behavior to real issues within our community: mental illness and sexual abuse, that really bothers me. You cannot blame an entire network for your issues. Tamar has created the space she’s currently in. Reality tv only airs the material you give them. She has always been a drama queen the entire show. No one is responsible for her actions. We need to start holding people accountable for their actions. I hate to hear anyone having mental issues, or emotional problems. But her going on social media right after this episode is silly. It shows where the priorities are. If you dont want people in your business, dont share it, dont sign contracts. Let it go, leave it alone, move on, walk away. Whatever you have to do to handle your mental and emotionally wellbeing.

Her ability to produce the show should speak to her talents, not her race. Especially considering she was trying to listen to what Amanda has to say and use her input. I feel like we (Us..BM and BW) dont show enough support to Amanda. I applaud the way she intelligently speaks her mind, isn't afraid to stand up and speak on our issues without being one bit of timid, educates while still being able to incorporate laughter; With all of the things we (Us..BW and BM) go through,one could easily get upset and depressed. See but laughter is medicine..it heals ..and we (Us. BM and BW) need that healing. It's great to get it from one of our own. I love her positivity. I live that she unapologetically is "Smart ,Funny,&Black".. We need to pay more attention to our people who are like her.

I think we need to stop justifying Amanda’s behaviors. This isn’t the first time with her. She IS VERY aggressive and we need to call a spade a spade. No man wants a rough ass female like hence why she has no man. She blames systemic oppression but when given the opportunity to spread awareness she has all types of issues. She doesn’t want to work with any other race other than black. That’s racist if u ask me. She needs to be able to work with ALL TYPES OF RACES INCLUDING WHITE if she really wants to make a change.
@mrs.mercyjackson35144 жыл бұрын
@@Lyomama22 What does her not having a man (that we know of) have to do with anything that I said. And her being very passionate(not aggressive) may just be her personality. As a matter of fact...with the way Black people are treated and disregarded and discredited...somebody needs to be aggressive. A racist is someone who discriminates against another person because of the color of their skin. Its a person who believes they are above others because of the color of their skin. Saying that you prefer to work with only black people does not make you a racist. It just means you want to work with people who are like you and can better relate to whatever it is you are persuing at the time. And for the record..she never said she only wants to work with black people. She has worked with all races since she was on Nickelodeon. What she said was that the "Funny,Smart,and Black" segment should have been produced by a Black person. She was right ...it should have been. I think you should not say a person is racist without having good reason and proof. You have neither. Maybe you should figure out why you and whoever else feels like you do is so offended by a Black Woman who is intelligently living strong in her Blackness an is not ashamed to show it,speak on it,and defend it if necessary. Opinions are like assholes.....everyone has one. Yours is your own an you are entitled to it. However I think it is ignorant as he'll. Be blessed. #BeAmazing -Mrs.Mercy

Mrs.Mercy Jackson so if a white person would say I only want to work with white ppl because that makes me more comfortable would that be racist?
@mrs.mercyjackson35144 жыл бұрын
@@Lyomama22 No not in the context of which she (Amanda)actually spoke and not the hyperbole you wrote in your comment. There are MANY White people who only want to work with other Whites for the simple fact that they believer other races are inferior. Yes that is racist..reguardless of who does it... Asians,Italians,Pakistani etc. If you are DISCRIMINATING against another race because of their skin and because you believe them to be less than you are because they are not the same race as you are is racist and ignorant an always will be. However comma ...that is not the case here. She has proven that she has,can,and will work with other races. She just will not and should not have to tone down her blackness while doing so. Just because someone decides that they personally want to work with their own on a project that is about THEIR OWN CULTURE...(because u seem not to understand that that was the issue and one of the reasons she was said to be a problem)that does not make them racist.So Stop it. Stop making it broad when it isn't. Again for you and whoever else in the back...SHE DID NOT EVER SAY SHE ONLY WANTS TO WORK WITH BLACK PEOPLE. SHE SAID THAT THE SEGMENT ABOUT BLACK PEOPLE...SHOULD BE PRODUCED BY A BLACK PRODUCER. Why is that so hard to grasp? Maybe its hard for you to grasp because you are not looking at facts. You are actually distorting what was said out of her mouth the way you want to in order to push the narrative that she is problematic,aggressive,racist,and apparently single because of it. Lol@u. When actually producers have been trying to mute her an her opinions on black issues because they didnt want to offend TheReals Non-Black audience. She didnt go for that. She is honest about what she feels when things are not making since, she is passionate about portraying the Black experience as what it should be ,she is passionate about BLACK people being represented in a positive light not just the sorrowful, criminal, and negative,she is passionate about who gets allowed to tell our stories(cause no one can tell our stories or properly really represent all sides of Us like Us),she is not a racist.You and whoever else that has followed her has literally seen her woking with people who are not of African decent on camera and behind the camera, and you dont know who the he'll she is dating or if she is. So how do you know "aggressivness" is why she doesnt have a man? I'll answer that. You don't. The problem is people get offended when a BW or BM is proud to be Black and have intelligence and education within them an are not affraid to speak up when there is some b.s. going on. It makes people uncomfortable....only when its a BW or BM though. Being Pro-Black does not make you Anti-Everyone Else. #BeAmazing -Mrs.Mercy

I disagree. She comes off as very aggressive, and acts as if she doesn’t want to let anyone else talk. She also has problems talking about things other than race (not that it can’t be apart of every topic but dang girl don’t make this whole discussion about race). I love my Black people and all but she isn’t the only host to get attacked. She loves to play victim. I love outgoing, expressive black women seeing as I am one myself but she needs to learn how to interact with others and understand that her view isn’t the only right view.

While she might have her own mental health issues to deal with.... it’s definitely true that reality TV 100% edit shows in such a way to create more controversy. Sometimes they’ll even introduce outside forces during takes that you were unaware of to get a reaction. Anyone would react, and they cut it differently to sometimes make it look like that’s how you react to things in a regular basis. Many people have spoken out about this countless times, and sometimes these shows are slightly scripted with some hints of truth to have you look and react how they want you to. Now I’m not saying that’s the case all the time for people’s actions but when it comes to reality TV it’s 80-90% when it comes to the TV business, it’s ruthless and things are planned.
