I’ve only just noticed that Tamberlane seems to know a bit of British sign language. The big one she seems to know is the sign for “Help”. I could be wrong but I think this indicates that at least one of her parents (or a relative) is deaf? I love this story as well as the bond between Belfry and Tamberlane. Keep up the great work!

Was intrigued by the character design and have now binged the entire story so far. I love it! Tamberlane’s such a cutie, and it’s so endearing how fiercely both Belfry AND Oakewood defend her. Cannot wait for chapter 4, especially given the small glimpses of world building/history we got with this chapter.

It looks like Belfry is going through some life issues because of her mom, she'll also be banished from her home town because of the decision she made. And it seems Tamberlane is starting to think that some creatures don't enjoy her presence. See you in chapter 4!

Theori i have is the ''Enemy'' that the meerkat at the end speak of was Humanity , so human aren't around there anymore for a long while multiple generation too so thats why the Anthro doesn't know what Tamberlane is , since they never saw in their life time the ''enemy'' just the story of it~ and the place ''Abroad'' is a place where there still human building ruins and by judging by the trailer of part 4 when he was describing the enemy '' A tall predator that can run without exhausting itself '' looks alot like how humans were hunting way back then

Ah however believe this world is set in not by a world only populated by anthropomorphic creatures but rather a world we're they overthrew humanity. Considering the tale near the end of the capture consist of the beginnings of anthro sentience vs what I believe to be a rural African housing. I mean heck 2 of the cheaters speak Ukrainian or Russian that's a clear giveaway. We may see more humans later.

I have a one theory so far from observation: #1 Humans are an extinct species must be for a very long time if not one Fur knows what Tamberlane is my guess they are ether extinct or there’s an hidden civilization of humans well hidden from the world. And to note I haven’t seen the comics of Tamberlane only what you guys has dubbed. And I don’t want to spoil myself by reading the comics. Mostly cuz I don’t like reading but that’s my theory! can’t wait for the unfolding of this story’

I'm not gonna lie, this comic was a great surprise for me, I discovered it a few days ago and I am already fan. I didn't expect much, but it turns out that i enjoyed every chapters, I went trow all emotions. This is a gorgeous, smart and heartwarming fantasy world, with touching characters. I hope someday this will be more rated, and this will have an animated series or a movie, who knows ? Anyway, you'll always have my support with no hesitations, keep up the good work.

This series is amazing. I can’t tell you how much it has impacted me. It’s so heartwarming and a great premise I can’t wait for the next one and the trailer I watched. At a minimum, the presence of gasoline and products using electricity and batteries suggests that this is the 20th century, judging by the style and design of the clothes of the creatures, this is the first half of the 20th century, maybe even the period of the world war II

OOOOHHHHHHHH!! I just noticed that's a HUMAN SIZED gas can in the story of the Meerkat! She's tiny compared to it, which means the animals aren't human sized themselves. Tamberlane is going to TOWER over most of them except maybe the badgers and deer.... Jesus, that means the 'enemy compound' in the story was a human house.....The animals fought a war with people. The 'taint' was probably a human bioweapon or illness that became Zoonotic....Holy fuck this is set after an implied human extinction....it's a post apocalyptic story.

I have a theory that this is a post-apocalyptic world after a nuclear war, and the animals got affected by the radiation and A B R O A D is a radiation zone. My evidence: in the flashback, the ancestor used a human gas canister to light a fire. This also explains why everyone is afraid of abroad, and you get 'tainted' if you go there. Most likely, there were humans that survived the war, but not many. That explains how Tamberlane survived, although her parents might have died soon after. Also, there's Russian, a human language. But that's just a theory, a Tamberlane theory!

My theory is that since they live in an archipelago the creatures are being observed by humans that have survived a global war. The creature's evolution could be the byproduct of a chemical attack used in the war that ended over fifty or a hundred years ago. For all we know Treehollow along with the rest of the islands are under government quarantine with the belief that they are uninhabitable because of deadly chemical contamination or a virus. In truth, it's a giant nature preserve and "abroad" is a research station.

While I could overlook the hoodies, I am now curious to see more of this world. Well I believe this is set in a world after the collapse of humanity. As is hinted at many times. Especially in this chapter with the tale near the end and the Ukrainian and russian speaking characters. So it's possible the reason technology is so mixed is because they are using the rememnents of human technology they reverse engineered.

Based on the meerkat's story at the end, I assume it's a story of how some of the first animals begin to gain human level intelligence. The story depicts a normal sized Meerkat knocking over a jerry can of gasoline and using a match to start a fire. Something happened to change all animals and all we can do is wait and see what happens next for Timberlane
