Nangs are slang for nitrous oxide canisters. The wawawawa sounds are experienced under the influence of nitrous oxide. It pairs nicely with this song.

It's one of the safest drugs out there and there's new research showing that nitrous oxide exposure in rodents notably increased hippocampal growth. They use it as an anesthetic/anxiolytic in dentistry all the time. Some of the dangers of the drug are: vitamin B12 depletion from excessive use, and addiction. It's almost impossible to OD on nitrous, unless you have a giant medical tank of the gas and you're huffing it nonstop until you're unconscious or dead. It doesn't cut off the oxygen to the brain though. It's an extremely powerful drug. It's produced some of the most profound psychedelic experiences I've had (mostly when combined with LSD or cannabis). Sometimes it's very mild, other times it's instant ego death beyond comprehension.

Erin Kaur theres multiple times where Kevin references other songs on the album within a song. Like in Cause Im A Man he says “Lost in the moment for the second time” which i believe is a reference to “The Moment”. I like how he does that

@iwrongic He's saying that because I'm sure it's well known by now, but Nangs is slang for nitrous oxide. The high does not last long and is somewhat disappointing, so he is asking, 'Is there something more than that'? I think he also mentioned a while ago a lot of kids in Australia were getting caught with it at the time.

This album came out when I was feeling pretty good, was fairly happy, and it didn't have as much of an impact on me. I thought the album was really good, but not amazing. Things have changed now a lot, and I went back and listened to this album again, read the lyrics and everything. It was like listening to these songs for the first time again. Because of my experiences since the album came out, the songs and the lyrics took on a totally different meaning for me. I never really noticed just how sad and bittersweet this whole album was. Until now. Now I understand.

“Brings you straight there.” Exactly. I did quite a few whippets while on a few tabs and it was indescribable. The closest I’ve ever felt to God. I remember “realizing” something (Nirvana, the answer to this usually ineffable experience of life, whatever it was). And I told myself “don’t forget this!” But of course I did. That happened three times in a row. I even grabbed a notebook and pen to write down my thoughts as they occurred but it was basically gibberish when I came back to sobriety LOL. Intense and amazing.

The majority of albums i find myself returning to on a regular base have a saddening or atl somber tone to them. They make me feel understood and accepted when I'm in a bad mindstate. But for some reason this album always manages to chear me up. From time to time it's sparking this childlike sense of wonder even tho I was fed up w life just an hour prior. This is exactly what my friend told me about his psychedelic experiences. For now there's no way I'm capable of handling acid so I'm glad this album exists as a hint of it.

“yo no creo en el amor […] no creo en amarse, no creo en morir de amor, no creo es suspirar por otra persona, en dejar de comer por una persona especial. Pero en lo que sí he creído siempre es en que las almohadas llevan en su interior parte de tus pesadillas, de tus problemas y de tus sueños. Y es por esa razón por la que les ponemos esas fundas: para no ver los rastros de nuestra vida.

Bro, no need to feel shame over that - honestly, like half of all music has been made by people who take a lot of drugs, whether said music is about drugs or not - It's just part of the culture. I guarantee some portion of your parents' music had some drugs involved in its creation. Hell, jazz musicians were getting addicted to heroin as far back as like 80 years ago.

I'm always really disappointed by how short this song is, because it's probably the second best on the album...but then again the effect of actual nangs on us is pretty short, so I guess it all makes sense in the end.
