You're in the " refrigeration zone ". its even worse than the friend zone cause there's actually something there. Both sides can mess up their chances with others because of this. It's an unhealthy situation. I was in the refrigeration zone for more than a year. I turned down many girls cause all i wanted was her. This girl scared away other girls from me cause " I was hers ". Both of us weren't single but we weren't in a relationship either. It was a year ( or more ) of pain, an unhealthy environment for the both of us. Finally I broke down and said this is over, we can't see each other anymore. She said " not even as friends ". We were never friends. You dont fuck your friends! You dont sleep in your friend's bed and cuddle and talk until the sun comes up. I moved on and so did she. A couple years later when she's desperately single she comes and try to reignite that flame. I was single but for my own self worth and self respect I told her I wouldn't be here for her when she was ready and I meant it. Dont wait! You'll be waiting your whole life. Find someone who loves you for and you and isn't trying to see if they can do better.
