This isn't usually the type of music I listen to, but this song really perfects the art of the build-up. It teases with you with it half way through the track and then it just hits you at the end. It's a really solid track on a really solid album

Everything in my life collapsed in the span of a few weeks this March of 2020. My wife left me, i lost my apartment, lost my job, lost my internship with SF's legislative branch, my school closed (Im supposed to get a degree in May) and im back home living with my parents right back where I started 6 or 7 years ago. My empire has crumbled, and all I can say in my hysteria is.... let it happen. I will rebuild. ... ... ... Edit/Update/Thing: Wow, I leave for 3 months and come back to all this love. You people are damned inspiring. It's September now, and everything has changed. My wife and I are still separated but on very good terms, I spent 3 months salmon fishing in Alaska (because why the hell not?) that I just got back from, I ended up finishing my degree online and am done with school at long last, and I have plans to move to a new state with close friends and continue rebuilding my empire. In other words, I actually followed my own advice! Who would've thought? lol. Anyways, since I left this little comment I have occasionally gotten little notifications of different people saying really sweet things and it was always a very beneficial boost to my spirits along the way. So thank you, weird little awesome, friendly corner of the internet, for following along with my story. You can follow me on IG @derek_jcg if for some strange reason you want to see some of my recent and future adventures (: Cheers... and as always... keep Letting It Happen.

lyrics: It's always around me, all this noise But not nearly as loud as the voice saying "Let it happen, let it happen (It's gonna feel so good) Just let it happen, let it happen" All this running around Trying to cover my shadow An ocean growing inside All the others seem shallow All this running around Bearing down on my shoulders I can hear an alarm Must be a warning I heard about a whirlwind that's coming 'round It's gonna carry off all that isn't bound And when it happens, when it happens (I'm gonna be holding on) So let it happen, let it happen All this running around I can't fight it much longer Something's trying to get out And it's never been closer If my ticker fails Make up some other story And if I never come back Tell my mother I'm sorry I will not vanish and you will not scare me Try to get through it, try to bounce to it All the while thinking I might as well do it They be lovin' someone and I'm not that stupid Take the next ticket to take the next train Why would I do it? And you wanna think that I will not vanish and you will not scare me Try to get through it, try to bounce to it All the while thinking I might as well do it They be lovin' someone and I'm not that stupid Take the next ticket to take the next train Why would I do it? And you wanna think that I will not vanish and you will not scare me Try to get through it, try to bounce to it All the while thinking I might as well do it They be lovin' someone and I'm not that stupid Take the next ticket to take the next train Why would I do it? And you wanna think that I will not vanish and you will not scare me Try to get through it, try to bounce to it All the while thinking I might as well do it They be lovin' someone and I'm not that stupid Take the next ticket to take the next train Why would I do it? @@plvto1 I get that’s the most popular part but you gotta at least hear the whole song instead of skipping right to that part, people have different preferences I get it but it’s like when you skip a show or movie to the most popular part it’s just a no. And in my opinion people who do that I don’t like cause what’s the point of searching for that song or movie if u are just gonna waste your time searching for that one part when you can just watch or listen to the whole thing . And plus this song has many cool parts that they might like. And I also know that people might not want to spend their time listening to the whole song. But to actually enjoy a song or learn a song you gotta listen to the wholeeee thing same with a movie.

Agreed. If people could just foster their own ability to just let feelings go where they want, running an unobstructed coarse, they would discover coping skills that allow honesty with self, leaving anxieties and fears no traction. Like an instrument, practice gives way to skill, and natural pathways, making it seem effortless after a while, like muscle memory for neurons, you know....a talent. I know you understand. Anyway, thanks for kickstarting this avenue of thought.....

Ooh man I don't wanna be the one to burst your bubble... But the song is about chilling riding on a train 😂 Like I know, I feel all that pain too, thats the beauty of art. But also the guy said in an interview that basically he was just riding on a train, taking in the changing scenery coming at him, and just felt like "let it happen"

It's always around me, all this noise But not really as loud as the voice saying Let it happen, let it happen (It's gonna feel so good) Just let it happen, let it happen All this running around Trying to cover my shadow An ocean growing inside All the others seem shallow All this running around Bearing down on my shoulders I can hear an alarm Must be morning I heard about a whirlwind that's coming 'round It's gonna carry off all that isn't bound And when it happens, when it happens (I won't be holding on) So let it happen, let it happen All this running around I can't fight it much longer Something's trying to get out And it's never been closer If my take off fails Make up some other story And if I never come back Tell my lover I'm sorry I will not vanish and you will not scare me Try to get through it, try to bounce to it All the while thinking I might as well do it They be lovin' someone and I'm not that stupid Take the next ticket to take the next train Why would I do it? And you wanna think that [x4] Oh baby now I'm ready moving on Oh maybe I was ready all along Oh I'm ready for the moment and the sound Oh maybe I was ready all along Oh baby now I'm ready moving on Oh maybe I was ready all along Oh I'm ready for the moment and the sound

It’s said that after you die you experience your whole life in seven minutes. You could listen to most of this song while doing so. Another thing is, we could possibly be in that 7 minutes right now. We just don’t know it yet. It also says right before the seven minute mark “take the next ticket” and that could be the ticket to heaven.
