It's really annoying and hurtful for those of us that lost weight to constantly be told that now we're pretty or now we look good. FYI. We most likely felt good about ourselves before the weightloss. Making physical changes doesn't necessarily revolve around image issues. Some of these comments are just insulting.

AMEN,AMEN, and A-M-E-N!!!! I experienced this and found the new found "attention" insulting. Comments like "You are so pretty now. "I mean you always had a cute face but now you look so good." Or "I know you feel better now!" made my blood boil. Who told you that felt bad about myself prior to the weight loss? Then came those folks that wouldn't give you the time of day before now want to be your bosom buddy. If you didn't hang with me before don't try it now because I'm the same person. If you are that superficial I have NO desire to entertain you.

If you find it an insult then you have some healing to do. A compliment is a compliment no matter when it comes. Anytime I lose weight and somebody notices and acknowledges it in a positive way I'm glad and appreciate it no matter what. Nothing wrong with being a healthier version of ourselves. Heavy weight is hard on the body even if we don't think it is. Health is wealth. Be blessed!
