When we grew up in the country, we would do the same for what fruit was in season. We drop biscuits in the juice n called it, dubie. It was similar to chicken n dumpling, but in a dessert way. My Grannie was raising 7 kids after my mother passed n we had very little, but we never went hungy. We ate off the land.

My Mom called it 'Doobie'. She made us mulberry Doobie in FL. Auntie in AL made blueberry Doobie. 😋 Love the Native American history and the fellowship y'all enjoyed while cooking. Family ❤

Hello...I am Pamunkey and Monacan from central Virginia roots....I grew up with in a culturally mixed family...By the GRACE of ALMIGHTY ADONAI...we were able to incorporate our native and ALKEBULAN (the Continent they call africa) cultural knowledge to make a happy family full of Laughter, Life, and LOVE...I was so happy to see the mix that I came from, in action together on the MANN internet show....This is a BLESSING from the LORD...Because, for too long the two most hated groups in north america, have been isolated from each other... Instead we should be working together, conquering fears, and making a better 'Turttle Island' for the PEOPLE to enjoy ! Well, as I see it, you got to start somewhere, and who knows, this show just might be the actual spark, which ignites the 'Lights of Understanding' between our illustrious groups !!! Thank you MANN family, keep on doing the LORD's good works !!!

Oh my goodness 😍 I have to learn how to make the wojabi, the berry soup . I have never heard of cooking berries but it sure looks good with that fry bread, I'm definitely going to have to try this after my Daniel fast, now the berry soup might be acceptable to eat on the Daniel fast but definitely not the fry bread so I'm gonna wait until after my fast is over to try this. I'm gonna have to watch again I think I missed the making of the fry bread them cinnamon rolls look good too but I'm a diabetic so their way toooooo sweet for me. Tamela don't worry u wasn't being mean u just be feeling people out, I'm the same way but the only difference with me is I have to feel you out a couple times apposed to that first initial time you come over😅 but Tamela. I love how u have visitors to the channel. God. Bless u and your family ❤

My partner is one of them, it’s slightly sad due to his grandmother disowning his father so he doesn’t know much about his heritage. He told me only of what he was made aware of. When his father was battling cancer, after chemotherapy he allowed his hair to grow back fully that’s when I seen it for myself. I didn’t tell his father that seeing his hair like that broke my heart due to me learning about “Black Indians” and their history. To this day, their are tones of them out there and the government nor will the Native American government (council) acknowledge them. My assumption is there is an unspoken truth that the natives were done wrong, but many of them don’t want to acknowledge some of the wrong doing they took part in as well. Sadly I get it. Unfortunately, history is starting to show its face again. Mental health as well as physical health is starting to show up in many young black adults. Most of them have no idea as to where it’s coming from. Many young adults are dealing with kidney failure. The doctors know but they aren’t telling them the truth. It’s sad on all levels. My apologies for the rant, no one mentions the Black Indians. When our grandmothers would say, “We got Indians in our family” no one believed them. They were telling the truth, they didn’t want to tell how they knew that due to it not being a Pleasant story to tell.

@@TonioDC79 It truly is , truth be told . Its been said that Christopher Columbus had a huge part of the Trail of Trails . When some Native American women married Black men (all werent slaves) He made it a tribunal law that those families could not calim to be Native American but if the women married White men, they would be allowed to live on the reservation and receive a govt check. This is how we Native American became looking very light skinned with straight hair. Those who left the reservation signed documents and were able to register as US Citizens but freed men . They received land and most were famers. Some eventually lost their land due to the civil war where soldiers would invade their land and property and cause many to run away and join the Trail of Tears . Some were once again caught as slaves some for the first time , some a second or third time. Afro Native amercans have never been recognized due to Christipher Columbus and to present , due to twisted ways of thinking.
