I'm on day 6 without power ..but thank god for my mother because she lives near a hospital so her house is on a power grid as the hospital. My husband decided to stay to make sure no idiots tried to break in because some folks who left had their homes broken into ..smh..and he made a makeshift oven/stove/heater ..He's a survivalist so he knows how to survive and of course being a Texan, we have several guns for protection so he was good

I live in Jackson, MS and we're going through some of the same things as TX. There are thousands without power, water, or both. And we couldn't travel to get anything, because of the horrible road conditions. I'm still without water. We have been catching snow/ice to melt so we could flush the toilet. We can't wash dishes, and there hasn't been any trash pickup since last Friday. We're having to use baby wipes to freshen up. It hit us so hard down here in the south because we don't get this type of weather. This winter storm completely shutdown parts of my state this past week.

I’ve said for Y E A R S Claudia Jordan does no wrong in my eyes! A few years ago my family & I were on a vacation to Miami.I was watching my 12 year old at the time & her little friend play in the ocean & all of a sudden 2 drop dead gorgeous ladies stopped & was chit chatting with them at the edge of the ocean & honey 1 of them was Claudia & a friend. She was super friendly & down to earth. She made our whole trip 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 She let the girls get their pic with her. Now anytime we are on a beach somewhere my husband says yea it was a good beach day but there was no Claudia 😝 Both girls now have that pic up in their dorm room at Virginia Tech. Such a sweet lady. Nothing but love & respect for her. So happy for all of her success ❣️💖♥️

I feel for Tammy but when you have lost everything with no means or way to get anything ..I thinks that's what some of the people meant..it's a difference when you have another home or even an apartment to go to verses going to the shelter..and I really hoped someone on that panel would have been real enough and not worried about stepping on toes to have pointed that out..Now I rock with Tammy and her home is still her home..and no one can tell her how's she supposes to feel..but I have family members that stay in Texas that's in a hotel and when their money runs out will be trying to get into an emergency shelter because their their home now is unlivable ..but still wishing all Teaxans the best
