I sent this song to a friend who was struggling in a relationship. She said this song cut into her so deep, she learned things about herself she didn't know existed. She said it woke her up and she ended up leaving a life-threatening situation. Thank you, Tamia. You have been one of my favorites for decades. I am a man and I can relate to this song. I think this song is for any person male or female who has to think about themselves for a change. Self Preservation. I really love Tamia!!! She's amazingly talented, drop-dead gorgeous & she's one of the few Artists that sound just as good (if not better) live. I kinda feel bad for people that have never heard of her... yet I know that if she had been more popular, there would also be a smorgasbord of haters saying she's only popular because she's beautiful. Anytime I meet other people that know & also love her music, I feel it tells me a lot about their musical taste & that they enjoy realness.
