The train accident is a Govt failure . Govt owns and guarantees passenger safety . In TN govt does not sell hooch . it is a personal tom foolery of the people who drink hooch . Unlike in Bihar two years back , the excellent medical facilities here have saved many more lives . The toll would have been much higher even now . We have a rule of law in TN unlike those in north india and the guilty will surely be punished .

Rahul, first of all, pl do not compare , Illegal arrack tragedy to Rly & Road tragedies. The later two are legal & service activity of any govt. Across the world , Road & rail accidents occur, even in advanced countries which, goes un reported in India. As per Central govt dept. analysis , highest road accidents are recorded in TN, but ignored by both central & state govts. But these are legal mode of transportation. For a country like India, both Road & Rail network are of mega size compared to advanced countries. Our tech advances on safeties have progressed exponentially but if operators & drivers ignore rules as well as safeties even almighty, whoever, cannot prevent tragedies. Demanding mere RESIGNATION OF MINISTERS. OR GOVTS WILL LEAD US NOWHERE. But large scale illicit liquor as well as ganja trade are out of the purview of laws of the country . Large scale business of both activity are going on for more than 5 decades +, RPT 5 decades+ in TN. Whenever tragedies of this magnitude occur , no one will take moral responsibility & conveniently bide time for public to forget. Public Forget them , particularly during elections because of dangling of dollars. It's the very same people who elected this govt forgetting an year old tragedy in Marakkanam. The rural population thinking is muffled & they don't see beyond their nose or TN. Finally, you media create lot of knee jerk action immediately & conduct debates , not only to attract public but also your viewer ratings as well . JUSTICE DELAYED, JUSTICE DENIED. The incidents also take back seats after some time in all cases. Finally, to me there appears to be a big nexus behind all these tragedies. May be, RPT may be POLITICIANS, OFFENDERS, GOONS & MEDIA are all in the couterie.
