I liked the CCTV part in the review..well said..yes music is a big addition. The train crosses when sarsth babu gives reply to the police officer eppidi antha sound effect and the timing of train crossing. The combination of bookish knowledge and experience is well structured in the screenplay

The scope that the director created with the story was very big. Instead of one-shoting the second murderer( who didn't even have a single dialog ), he could have done something different. We don't know why the second psycho took photos of the victims. Director could have introduced a third murderer and gave a lead for the part 2 of this movie and still could have ended the movie with the message that they intended.

Watched this movie FDFS very nice crime thriller movie. Sarathkumar acting is well appreciated. Sarathbabu character gave depth to this movie. Ashok Selvan made justice to his role. Can watch it twice or thrice. Highly recommended.

Only because of your review i saw the movie. It lived upto the expectations. Sarath kumar's acting was top notch. I have never liked his movies except in elderly roles like nattamai etc. So this was an apt role for him. I wanted to support tamil cinema by going to the theatre. Otherwise would have waited for the OTT release. Thanks for guiding people to the right movies. Btw i watched yathisai in theatre because of you as well. And didn't watch PS2 (even in OTT) after watching PS1. It is itching when it comes for free in OTT. But i decided i should send a message by not watching.

Thamizh Cinema post-1976 , till date had had /has Only 3 Truly Manly-Looking Presence & Aura, with matching Voice Timbre, as Heroes on screen : Rajnikanth, Sathyaraj, Sarath Kumar Around "Cheran Pandian" release time, I thought Sarath would overtake Rajnikanth....but luck was not on his side, obviously! (Even as a Villain in his earliest phase, Sarath vibed more 'sexiness' than the hero himself). But now, Sarath has gotten 'premium acceptance' from a larger swathe of Urban 90s 'kids& 2K kids' audiences because of his charismatic gravitas in PS instalments(which was all too apparent from his 'Aravindan' & 'Thirunaavukkarasu' days onwards!). Sarath Kumar has NOT Changed. Current Audiences have changed!

Spolier alert ❗❗ The suspect and the villain characters could have developed better. They didn't invoke the fear. They could have reduced the story of the suspect and added more to the villain. That could have created stronger emotions. That is, they could have shown more suffering of the villain than the 1st suspect. Just one scene of abuse by a bad wife isn't a convincing reason to become a psychopath.otherwise fine.

That one scene doesn't mean it's the only time it happened. If you think the character didn't invoke fear that's the success of the story. Because that's what they were trying to say. Serial killers and psychopaths are not necessarily fearful and scary all the time.

How are you not fearing the character? That supermarket scene and railway scene literally gave me goosebumps. Hell, everytime the first suspect pops up on the screen, I was anxious. However I agree that the depth was not enough for the villain, but I guess they did it that way so that the movie wouldn't feel like it's dragging too much. Plus, that's what psychopaths are, they could be completely mysterious and look absolutely normal in their daily life due to compartmentalization.

I agree.... In the beginning, sarth told that the villain is a perfectionist and that suits sarath Babu well, not the main villain... My opinion is the villain was caught at the interval block... Second half is dragging, not upto the expectations and the fear created by ratchasan which is a masterpiece of Tamil cinema.... I have watched more Hindi crime thrillers which are far better than Tamil movies...
