Rarely ever comment on any video but I had to say something. Anton’s ability to compliment the the younger guys and tell them good job is something I have the upmost respect for and it’s things like that that makes him such a good teacher. As a pipefitter/welder far too often do I see guys that refuse to tell a guy “good job, textbook”. Love seeing these videos and seeing someone bringing up the next generations and teaching them the art of it was the icing on the cake
@JS-oy6nn Жыл бұрын
That’s because pipe trades is a cut throat business, this is why “at a boys” are not freely handed out. I spent my entire life in this industry just like my dad and his dad crossing the country welding pipeline.

I'm confused. What colors are they using for cut and leave trees? I hate marking leave trees. Just clearly mark the cut trees, in blue, and get after it if I am in charge.
@westcoastsaw1368 Жыл бұрын
I agree it gets a little confusing, especially when they mark one tree red and then they come over it with blue and say you can take it. It’s hard to tell whether it was blue and they painted it red to save it or it was Red first and then they painted it blue 🤷♂️🤣

Why were you guys cutting in a little on both sides of the buck? I got that it was so the bottom wouldn't slab, but I don't really understand understand.
@westcoastsaw1368 Жыл бұрын
I was doing it on the top because I wasn’t sure which side was going to drop down. I actually slab the few on the bottom but I didn’t do it to. It’s a horrible feeling to watch it happen so I was trying to take a little extra precaution to prevent it.
@joegreenwood1443 Жыл бұрын
Oh I savvy, I seen the two slab on the bottom. For some reason in my head I thought you were doing that on top to stop it from slabbing on the bottom. I thought what kind of magic is this. Lol thank you.

Hey Gordy how is the cannon light bar compared to the stihl light bar? You like it more?
@westcoastsaw1368 Жыл бұрын
My cannon is my fave rate 36” bar and my Stihl lightweight is my fave rate 32” The reason I like my canon better on the 36 is it’s a little bit stiffer and I don’t throw chains as much but on the 32” the Stihl is light and like a lazer just my opinion
@timbermen11 Жыл бұрын
right on Gordy thanks for the feedback. Be a cool video if you went to the Cannon factory and see how they are made. Herd you guys were on whiskey row in Preskit not to long ago. Gordy, It would help to understand the videos content if you could possibly tell us approximate location, model of saws being used, mods to saws, bar length and type of chain. I think it would bring things back twords your store if you stock those items. Oh ya, and personal gear! Don’t mean to aim you twords just an advertisement for your store. But that info makes the video much more interesting. Thanks
