Excellent build nice detail painting and even better weathering. Also i like the small and simple base you've made.
@KillBoxScalemodelling5 жыл бұрын
Thank you, Damon. The base was a last minute thing; I think weathered armour looks better on a base where the weathering blends in. I probably the same thing with aircrafts, but I seldom make bases for my aircrafts :P

Nice build up mate!!! I really think this is one of Tamiya best tanker poses

Hello, I am building the exact same kit now. I was wondering about if I should glue the exhaust on and try to paint later (rust color) or what. Your video answered that question! I assume the glue will still work after I paint the back part olive green? Maybe I'll need to scrap away a little paint first.
@KillBoxScalemodelling4 жыл бұрын
The glue (Tamiya Extra Thin) will eat through the paint so there shouldn't be any problem to glue it in place

Can I ask What color you painted your 50Cal mounted gun Also The metal parts on all the little tools? Tamiya says to use gunmetal on the 50 cal I believe. I used Vallejo Gun grey but its to shiny/metalic. I game it a wash with some engine grease Abtilung)oil paint and it looks all right but its still kinda overly metal
@KillBoxScalemodelling5 жыл бұрын
It was painted with X-10 Gun Metal and I also highlighted the edges a little using a pencil.

Great job, Do you use an airbrush?
@KillBoxScalemodelling5 жыл бұрын
Thanks:) Yes, the basecoat is airbrushed, but the streaks are done with a flat brush.

Two questions. 1. How long did it take you to complete the tank. 2. Are there any special tools or anything needed that do not come in the kit?
@KillBoxScalemodelling5 жыл бұрын
It took me 3 months, but I'm a slow builder and I spend a lot of time on my builds. It's a very good kit and everything fits together really well, so it can be done much quicker. You will need the basic modelling tools: sprue cutter, sanding sticks, tweezers, hobby knife, brushes. And also glue and paints of course. I recommend using Tamiya Extra Thin glue and Tamiya paints. When it comes to painting you need to decide if you will brushpaint it or use an airbrush+compressor, where the latter is a bit of a heavy investment if you don't have one already. Hope this answers your questions. :)

@@KillBoxScalemodelling it does thank you I wont lie. I've never built one before but I'm super interested lately and I want to do this one.

@@justinm1319 There are lots of good videos on scalemodelling for beginners. The best advices I can give that you start with a couple of cheap kits, a basic set of tools and practice. The Tamiya Easy Eight kit has a lot of parts and is maybe a little difficult for a beginner. Good Luck and Have Fun - that's what scalemodelling is all about ;)

Why was the trade mark on the hull where its cast? That is not smart.
@majiclamp48573 жыл бұрын
If that is correct for the tank, I can understand but it looks like corporate marks
@KillBoxScalemodelling3 жыл бұрын
@@majiclamp4857 It is correct for the tank - those are foundry marks made to identify which batch and foundry that did the casting
@majiclamp48573 жыл бұрын
@@KillBoxScalemodelling thanks. It the first one I've seen built with the foundry Mark's on it.
