Hi Alex - thanks for another fantastic running video! I can see that the DT02 handles so much better, mainly due to the independent rear suspension. Excellent slomo shots. But I can see that he is struggling for grip with worn-out rear tyres causing oversteer like the DT01. However, as you say in the description, a pair of new Tamiya Square Spikes will soon have him handling nicely! Thanks again and - J'espère que tu vas bien, mon ami. :)

Hello Mark and thank you for your great comment. You're right the DT-02 handles better, it manages to absorb the imperfections of the track thanks to the rear suspension and a lower center of gravity. It's really nice to use. I tried to be clever a while ago with my DT-02 on asphalt. . . as a result I ruined the tyres. And on my dry, dusty track, it pays off right away. I will soon be fitting the new set of tyres. Thanks again for your support. Et oui, je vais très bien, je te remercie. J'espère que toi aussi mon ami. 🏍

Hi Alex. More great track based fun. Very nice slo-mo shots. The tyres look pretty knackered but it seemed to cope pretty well. I see from the description that you are getting new tyres. If you can get the front tyres that come as standard on the Holiday Buggy and Racing Fighter then they are loads better than the ones you have there. They have got much sharper grooves that bite into the surface much more in the corners. Anyway I'm pleased to see you enjoying your new track. Take care matey.

Thank you very much, Pete. Yes, the choice of tires is a real headache for me. I've been browsing the net for several days now, looking for a new, cheap and efficient set. So thank you for your advice about the Racing Fighter's front tires. Indeed, the deep grooves and the thin, flexible sipes should improve handling. I was wondering if mini pimples wouldn't be a good solution too. . . I'd like to test tires from another brand than Tamiya, but here again I'm busting my head on sizes : 2.0. . . 2. 2. . . I'm afraid to buy tires not compatible with Tamiya rims. In any case thank you very much Pete for your comment and your precious advice. I'm going to continue my research, make a decision and open my wallet! Take care, my friend.

@@fencenaoghen3569 Oh I feel your pain with looking at tyres on the internet and not knowing if they fit. Probably best to stick with Tamiya tyres on the Tamiya wheels unless anyone can tell you for sure that something else fits. I think that you need something more aggressive than mini pimples on that loose surface. You could have spiked tyres all round like the ones from a 4WD Tamiya like the TT-02B. Obviously you can't use the front wheels from a 4WD on a 2WD Tamiya because they have the hex. The wheels are the same size though so they will fit your 2WD front rims :-)

Actually I was just looking at the front wheels on my TT-02B and they are more like about 32mm wide whereas the Holiday Buggy ones are about 23mm wide. Like I was saying it would be good if you can get a complete set of wheels and tyres from a Tamiya 2wd and then you know that they match.

@@fencenaoghen3569 The Holiday Buggy/Racing Fighter front tyres are Tamiya 53094. If you can get hold of them then they are probably the best bet :-)

@@PeteWylieRC Wow thanks Pete for all the information, that's very nice of you. I found the set of tyres from my Rising Fighter, they are Super Gripper for the rear but for the front they are the same as on my DT-02. So I'm going to look it up with the reference you gave me. Thanks again to you my friend, thanks for your help, take care. 👍

I would say that your track is more suited to 2wd than 4wd Alex, though that may be down to the design of the DT-02.

Hi David! Thank you for your comment. It is true that the DT-02 does well on my track. To tell the truth, I realize that I have not yet tried 4wd on this one. For the moment my track is really in a bad state, there has been road works and the repair of the water system worn ... I will have a lot of work to restore it, not to mention the vegetation which is regaining its rights. Thank you again for your comment, I hope you are doing well and I wish you a happy new year 2021 again.
