Beautiful Tomcat build ! I spent 12 years building all versions of the F-14 for Grumman Aerospace on Long Island, New York. I was an engine and power system tech in the final assembly plant #6. There was no need for me to acquire reference material, all I had to do was go to work ! Building Tamiya 's 1/32 F14-A was a pleasure to build also, it was even painted with the same batch of camo paint from the actual aircraft I was building !

The "End Result" is brilliantly filmed, looks like a real Tomcat!! Subtle weathering is exceptional as well!

One of the best modern US Navy planes ever built. It was built like a tank and could handle anything thrown at it. Great model build, it was very relaxing to watch

Absolutely spot on weathering. Not over the top since at this point the tomcat was just seeing service!

The f-14 was a beautiful aircraft and you did it justice with this build, absolutely gorgeous! It will always be one of my favorite jets and I enjoyed watching you build this piece of art!!

The original build serie brought me to this channel after i recived this kit after a very long hospital time. After seeing the first episode and enjoyed this master dooing his thing. I am not ready to build this kit and get a very decent result. For the moment ill stick with cars 1-24, but moving over to 1-12 scale.

this video couldt of come out at a better time for me! im just about ti start painting mine and was struggling to figure out how to do it and weather it! im doing the Jolly Rogers one. this is relay going to help with mine, im not used to doing modern stuff let alone modern stuff! im doing mine very much the same with the remove before flight tags and was thinking about the covers but didnt think of the way you did them. i used the same seats as well, they are brilliant but found that i had to remove all the bottom detail to get them to sit right. awesome build my dude and thanks for the help

My goodness! What a model. Jets are not my thing, really. But, that kit is impressive. Excellent technique on the exhausts. All of it, VERY well done.

Brilliant work. Bit one little question. Why do you thin your clear coats so extreme with a ratio 60/40? Best reguards from germany
@Scaleaton6 ай бұрын
Thanks for your comment. Actually I thin it much more than %60. For X-22 glossy finish "less is more"
