TAMIYA HOLIDAY BUGGY(2010) CONVERTED TO 80'S STYLE WITH NARROWER CHASSIS ｜타미야홀리데이버기 80년대 빈티지룩 컨버전

Tamiya Holiday Buggy is such a great fun car with very modern 'DT-02' chassis, runs great still with it's vintage 80's look body on.
However, there are many people who is not satisfied with it's modern wheel & tires sticking out of the fender. The original Holiday Buggy released in 1980 had a very classic looing tire well aligned with it's large fender.
There are many many solutions to resolve this mismatch between body and chassis, and I have made one for myself.
The outcome is great, while keeping the performance of the DT-02, this vintage body is now well matched with grasshopper tires aligned with it's fenders.

thank you for your interest! I can certainly print them but my experience tells me the postage to GB from Korea is pretty high! (it was around 30~40 USD). If you are willing to cover that, I can certainly send them to you^^ let me know if you are ok ^^

Nice thinking (and great job) with the Grasshopper wheel design. I was stumped on how to get Sand Scorcher rear wheels to fit on the bigger suspension assembly, so I just kept the stock wheels and tires. It's great to know there's another option out there! Awesome build! You've put new life into Grasshoppers and now the Holiday Buggy, too!

thank you! it took me a while on figuring out solution for putting the classic look tires. what I really wanted was to just transfer grasshopper wheel but that required longer axle or other somewhat wild solutions....^^

Wow, this is great! I love how you changed the wide stance of the DT-02 chassis to fit the grasshopper wheels. I was wondering would you be able to make a 3D print of what you did to your car and is it possible to 3D print the stat pattern grasshopper rims since I love the style of the original Grasshopper rims.
