Tamiya 1/24 Sports Car Series 360 Nissan Fairlady 240zg production video.
This kit also has a large number of parts and is highly complete.
Even beginners can assemble with confidence, but be careful as the parts around the front do not fit well. The front bumper and bumper stay seem to be slightly deformed, so if you bend it a little by hand so that it will not break, it will fit neatly.
Painting
This time, I used the Grand Prix Maroon that I had stored for the body color.
It is the one toned with the actual car. Metallic gray such as bumpers and fenders are adjusted with clear blue and clear purple by mixing gray with gunmetal.
Unlike the current paints, the metallic paints at that time had low brightness and a yellowish tinge. The same applies to the Skaline 2000GTR. Therefore, gray is mixed.
Bumpers, fenders, etc. are slightly glossy and the wheel caps are matte and all use gloss clear.
Painting ⚠
The exhaust pipe is galvanized, so even if it is used, it will not be burnt like a stainless steel pipe, but will be whitish gray.
Japanese cars at that time were blue glass, and green glass first appeared in the 1990s.
Hexavalent chrome plating was the mainstream for bolts at that time.

I rode 240zg only once 25 years ago, and I still remember that the floor panel was unusually low.
The low floor panel is also reproduced in this kit. It is one that you can feel the thoughts of Nissan developers and the enthusiasm of Tamiya engineers.
Please try to make it!
