That gearbox is basically the longer version of the comical buggy gearbox. So if you built one of those, this will be the extended version.

Great video. Love the blue and white. I just finished mine tonight and will paint it box art this weekend. I added bearings, Yeah Racing 65mm shocks with 30wt oil. Put on some different tires, Tamiya BZ motor, HW 1080 esc, Traxxas 2075X servo, and a Spektrum SR215 receiver. The BZ motor is powerful and it pops wheelies with a 2s lipo. Maybe too much power? Yours with the Torque Tuned looks good.

The color looks great! you're right, the turning radius is fine with 2ws. I put 4ws on my King Yellow (very similar design!), only because of the longer wheelbase. It's good to see you making more videos, again.

I would only buy Tamiya for 2 reasons one being I'm a Millenial so they have a nostalgia factor as they were the cars we drooled over as kids but most couldn't afford and secondly being the attention to detail with their bodies. If they would just update their old tech and electronics and add more metal instead of cheap plastic they would sell even more I'd bet nvm if they made RTR's that were competition for the likes of Traxxas, Arrma etc. You knocked it out of the park bud with your 2 tone paint job and detailing and looks awesome👊

Lol..For one they do make RTR(but kits are far better)For two the plastics they use are not cheap(they use a handful of different composites)For three this is an all new chassis design(look closer) and for four they include a modern hobbywing 1060 esc that runs 3s lipo.. Remember this is an entry-level kit and entry level kits are meant to be hopped up.. it's the whole point.. Tamiya doesn't sell entry level kits fully hopped up for that reason.. That's the beauty of it you build a kit and hop it up.. Cheers.

Yes agree, I think ppl forget Tamiyas place in the RC market and the fun in hopping up and modifying. Tamiya axe the body sets and the spirit of RC. The big RTR like traxxas break like butter and aren’t the best quality these days also.
