I am planning to buy the tamiya top force evo as I really like the design. As a kid I always wanted the avante but this in my opinion looks more modern and “grown up”. Your evo 2 is superb, but the one thing I am not keen on is the rear wing. I much prefer the original. The only thing I would change is that I would like to see pink wheels lol Great video mate 👍🏻

Great video, as usual, Glen. I like the body of your Evo2 better than the Evo, it just looks more sleek. That scoop on the top of the Evo just hurts my eyes. I never like the Top force body, the same way I never like Bigwig body. However, the inside stuff of the Evo is so sexy to my eyes, so I couldn’t resist to get one. I just ordered one after watching this and some others videos. Cheers mate!

@@TAMIYALegends I just drove my new evo just now, had a blast. The aereation shocks didn't work out. Built the high caps with 4-5mm spacer inside the rear shocks. The front has the plastic spacer as per instructions. PERFECT=) Loved the one way bearing, it wheels around so easy in turns. I need to gear up, no temps above 100f except the motor was 115f. And I even ditched the esc fan to mount it under the top deck.

The speed tuned gear set is a must to get rid of the alloy gear, just use the largest of the two spurs in the package. Its not that high geared anyways. That paint scheme on your tfe is just superb👍 the thing which I don't understand what tamiya have done with the 2021 evo is supplied the adjustable collars for the hi-caps but not the screws that tighten them they just tell you to use the spacers which in my opinion is a very crude way of adjusting the shock springs I've used my own screws for the shock collars when I built my 2021 evo!, although your evo is 10 /10 for gorgeousness I'm going for the pure tamiya topforce evo! Hmmmmm interesting question 🤔 I guess the best would have to be the 2014 TRF503 🤷🏼♂️. Although now it’s super rare and ridiculously expensive 🤯 But for me the DB01 with hop ups is probably the car to have at the moment 😅. Although these kits are still about they can be expensive too 🤯 I’d also throw the Egress in there too, obviously old design but it runs great 😊 Interesting fun fact 🤓 Although the brand new TD4 has only just been launched, Tamiya are actually saying it’s the best 4wd chassis they’ve ever made 😳. And they actually were comparing it as superior to the TRF and DB cars 😳😳😳 I guess we’ll see buddy 😊👊🏻
@AsurasWrath1643 жыл бұрын
I really dig your evo2 chassis, but I like your regular evo's body shell much more. For me the font and size of the letters somehow don't match the proportions and curves of the shell. But this is of course completely subjective. You got yourself two awesome cars for your collection. 👌 If I had the '21 Evo I personally would go with the green colour of the original Top-Force combined with Evo's decals. The original box-art green TForce is imho probably the most beautiful rc-buggy ever created. Not just Tamiya but in general. And the blue Avante of course.

But the original tfe is so clean, the typography on the stickers is so nice, I actually love the air intake and I don't fancy the trf shocks look as much as the more puristic aesthetic hicaps. So, sorry, but my vote for the original one...... E. G. Also in touring cars, I like the old 53280 dampers (those where you have the pink special edition for your ta02sw gt2 build) so much more than all the modern stubby chunky trf bigbore Supershort grooved threaded cluttered things... Just bought a set of gold ones for my 911 gt2 project (alloy housings only) , will put them together from single parts.. Lots of spare part number crunching... But I prefer this to buying a complete modern set from a point of anesthetics... dream of finding pink or blue/silver ones...

Thanks Simon I enjoyed reading that my friend 😍 Doing things from individual parts is hard work, but it’s soooooooo rewarding at the end 😍👊🏻

And I think that this kit was cheaper than a vqs.

That's by far the goofiest messaging on a Tamiya Buggy wing ever! "Impressive Numbers" What?! Cringey and Tamiya livery is pretty damn cringey... But then again that's part of the Tamiya charm...
