I’m using the box that comes with the kit to house my receiver and wiring. Looks tidy as I hate seeing loads of wires on my builds, also my receiver isn’t waterproof so helps there too

I already have the Composite Chassis Tub for my TT-02R Rally Spec. An inexpensive and VERY worthwhile upgrade! That Mo-or Cover that you said nobody uses.... Most of us Rally guys do, with a 30mm Cooling Fan mounted on it. Quite effective. I can see why you Saloon Racers would prefer to keep the Weight down. There are still people who swear by the TT-01... but I believe that the TT-02 is a simpler, more sturdy platform. I recommend them to anyone from novice to intermediate. There's GOOD Aftermarket support. Boom Racing makes a lot of upgrades. You mentioned Shocks in this one. At a bargain price, they make a full Shock Set for these, with 3 different Springs for each, good seals, in either 55mm or 65mm sizes!

Ohh really, yeah I guess it acts like a good dust cover? and mount for the fan. Yeah, totally agree, would absolutely recommend the TT-02 to anyone, and I found the flex in the TT-01 chassis to be huge compared to the stock TT-02. Great to know you would recommend the composite chassis, I've already bought one and waiting to give it a good testing! haha I was waiting to get some good consistent laps at the track with the stock chassis, then swap the chassis over and see if it made any noticeable difference. Hopefully the weather clears up soon to get on with some testing and some fun! Thanks for the heads up on the shocks, I'll definitely have to check those out :) 👍. I've still got a couple of aluminium parts to fit too after we give the stock setup a good bashing 😁

It's hard, when Racing on dirt, clay and stones, the amount of difference in flex wasn't easily noticed.... But it feels more rigid, and is certainly stronger! 😉

If you check out episode 4 (kzbin.info/www/bejne/rnuvgKiEoLifiq8) we've already put the Hobbywind 10.5T in there with the high speed gear set for now :). It's actually pretty much fully built now, just waiting to get to the track and give it a good run 😃👍

Im looking for a tt-02 but just for fun but wich kit would be the best for onroad? Tt-02d or tt-02r or the tt-02s

Hi there. I believe that the D is the drift version which comes with drift tires and spec'd for drifting. In terms of on road, I think the type R comes with a lot more and aluminium parts than the Type S. And the type S has batter shock towers (more adjustable) and better upper arms (adjustable turn buckles), and a few other bits vs the type D and Type R. Honestly, I think I would go for the type S again, and upgrade to aluminium parts when I need to. The aluminium parts included on the Type R aren't really that expensive to upgrade. Although, there is a limited edition type R out at the moment which has the upgraded aluminium hubs, which are quite expensive to upgrade.

Hi. Luckily I haven't had to buy any yet, but there is a good website I use for parts when I can't find them in the UK. Try: www.rcjaz.co.uk I think I have seen them on there if you go to the TT-02, Spares/ Hop-Ups section. And their delivery time was really good.

Hi there. In terms of the electronics, unfortunately not You can buy the TT-02 type-s chassis for around £140 and buy all the electronics and a shell for it and build it up how you like. Or you could buy the standard TT-02 chassis which comes with a really good basic motor and speed controller to get you going. With the TT-02 models, you still need to buy the steering servos, battery and radio, but you can get some pretty good packages which include everything you need from a lot of retailers. If you like, check out the latest video in this series to see all the components we used in this build 👍

A lot! 😅 The Chassis secondhand was around £140, but the build took an expensive turn haha. Check out the final/ mid-build cost up video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mqvLnmRopqxge9U 🙂
