Massive respect to the DT-03! I have two now and l never get new modern stuff its always rere new or vintage! The DT-03 is definitely the budget modern day classic! It ticks so many boxes! I must get on with my Aqroshot too! Work is spoiling the party at the moment! Glenn the white springs are fantastic mate l must have a go at that as l have several part used PS paints leftover! Pink wheels rock too my friend. Cheers James.

Thanks for the vid Glenn. I have an Aqroshot DT03T same chassis more or less. It's a great car to build and upgrades aren't too expensive which makes it great for the beginner or those of us on a tight budget! Most importantly it's great fun to drive!

I had a DT-03 Racing Fighter, and it was good but boy did it understeer. I converted it to a DT-02 Sand Viper and it was way better, handled so well. Anyway, awesome video as always mate, keep 'em coming!!

Those shocks with different oil work very well on my tt02. Gotta pick up some petal pink dye now. Looks great Glen, big improvement.

Those wheels look so good and I think I'll have to do the same to mine, It should look really cool with the PS 16 on the body.. And those springs really pop once on those shocks which in turn makes the chassis look better. I know what you mean about being back to work and not having the time for the hobby, which kind of sucks 😞 Really enjoyed the video so thanks for sharing

You’d assume the shocks were TRF at a glance. Good tip re painting springs 👍

Highly recommend Dulpicolor engine enamel spray paint for the shocks! You can yield some insane colors and they last through years of brutal bashing with barely any chipping!

I have the DT-03 and have tried various after-market shocks (3racing, GPM) and none are better than the Tamiya oil ones. For some reason, all the after-market ones think the car weighs 10 times heavier than it is and make the springs super hard. I haven't given up yet.. the shocks are well made, so it's just a case of finding a softer spring of the right length and width.

Good to see what you’re doing to this one. Looking forward to seeing the body. I’m in the middle of this very build which is going to have a completely custom body. The painting is all done and just waiting for the custom decals to arrive from MCI. Overall I hear good things about how this car runs.

DTO3's are great little cars and it's looking good. The standard towers do flex a bit, to the point where my shocks will bind up so that's a good upgrade.

So you can get re production decals from the MCI website. But there not as sharp as the Tamiya ones unfortunately 👊🏻

The reason the back wheels on the Dt02ms are different is because the included tyres are too wide for the standard tamiya wheel. I run into this issue when I put proline holeshots on my stock td2 wheels, no grip at all at the track, holeshots on the appropriate sized wheel hook up perfect. So really the the MS should have come with trf201 wheels or come with standard rear tyres. Knowing how much it destroys the performance of the tyre using a too narrow wheel on those included tyres feels all wrong.

Ironically I bought a set of pink astral wheels (only ones I could find at the time) which I changed to white with plastidip rubber spray.

My folks! If someone is interested, i got boat lods of CAD (3d) models for upgrades, changes and bodyshell and chassis. My son love his DT-03 Neo Fighter but "regularly" destroyed the plastic tube chassis.. i dont know how, i have never accomplished that xD but since i rebuild that thing in Fusion360 and let a machine shop make the chassis tube parts out of a solid chunk 6060alloy it never broke or even bend :D comment if you need something and i will get in touch :D keep one Rc'ing fellas :D greets from germany
