I don't want to be mean, but it can occur among, I apologize for the expression, such primitive and undemanding peoples, what they're like; the whole family of Amy and Tammy is like this; the main reason of their obesity is their undemandingness (according to those few scenes what I saw from this series, my opinion is that their behaviour is sometimes quite obscene, what isn't a characteristic for smart people, rather for dumb ones); they didn't care the result of their destructive lifestyle, they "lived only for today", and managed to change the lifestyle only at the very last moment, when their immense plus weight threated their life, especially Tammy, who almost died (I'm asking: if you're 275 kg with 172 or 175 cm height (I don't remember whether is Tammy 5 ft 8 in or 5 ft 9 in tall), or 181 kg with 162 cm height, respectively, and if you even can hardly get up from the bed due to your humungous weight, then you cannot realize that something got wrong very much?). And, it may be a very mean expression, but if you behave and live this way, then you can't be surprised if you can't find a decent person for mate. I hope that Amy will completely get rid of her former destructive lifestyse for her children, to give them the chance to grow up to healthy adults...

They start slow and don’t show you that’s how they actually are and how they’ll be with you until they know that you love them so much you’d do anything and they start to take advantage and could even go as far as threatening those you care about just to make sure they have that total control. They wait until it’s too late for you to realize that what they’re doing is not healthy at all but by then you’re so traumatized and used to the way they made you “live” life that you don’t know how you’re supposed to change it or get out of it. And kids being involved makes it worse because you never want to feel like you’re putting your kids in a bad position because you need help. And more than likely he will blame her for it and make her feel guilty because she realized that she doesn’t need to be with someone who treats her that way and won’t even watch the kids he also wanted and helped create.

This is why EVERYONE told Amy that it was too soon to have children, especially back to back. But she pushed to have children, and this is the consequences. This wasn't like this UNTIL the kids came. Idk what took place when tammy was gone and the second child came, but goodness. And the cherry on top was that it didn't get better after the divorce it essentially got worse. And fast forward, she gained most of the weight back and was arrested for being reckless. She went so far downhill that it was insane.😬
