And if that embryo would develop into a fetus that could not survive to term or long after birth due to tragic issues of incompatibility with life, it seems more cruel to cause it to needlessly suffer. Until an embryo is implemented and has the possibility to undergo gestation, it has no life or potential. This actually occurs regularly in nature. Fertilized eggs that fail to implant are flushed from the body during menstruation. Each of the 2% of live births, miracle babies as their parents consider them, have IVF to thank. They were given a future life they would not have if we choose to consider each embryo as more than what it actually is and allow that to make IVF unavailable. That is just how I weigh it.

Everything you wrote sounds like it came from a delusional elitist. No one will, or is expected to hunt down all reference material from every news commentary...that's a ridiculous premise. Ok so the bill says that 1. this is for pro family fertility and they can seek out their own provider and they must provide the service and insurance is to cover it without prohibition, limitation, interference or impediment. 2. Allow Veterans and service members to store their eggs and also for research on Veterans and service members reproductive health 🤔 3. Requiring employer sponsored and other public insurance plans to cover these treatments to protect Americans from excessive out of pocket expenses. 4. Promote standardization and widespread availability of ivf by requiring employer supported insurance plans. Require insurance carriers that participate in the WORLDS LARGEST employer supported insurance plan, ART and FEHB to cover the costs and medications for 3 cycles. This is an elective procedure. So they want to force employers to pay for the conception and then the parental leave once the baby is born? What research will they be doing on the Veterans or service members eggs that go unused? Protect Americans from excessive out of pocket expenses?? HELLO?! Where’s all this energy coming from? 😂 Insurance will cover 3 cycles. Is this a year or 3x flat? So you vote for this and don’t get your baby in 3 tries then what? That’s a lot of undue stress on parents 😢 Y’all be on the lookout for them to be selling us out by ceding our sovereignty to the UN and the WHO in a non congress vote that’s coming before the election.
@Kesileigh
@Kesileigh Ай бұрын
@@evieem80 a few points of clarification: you may want to reread the portion you are referencing in point 2. In point 4, the existing plans will be covering them if they already include obstetric services. It would be up to the insurance company as to how costs are calculated which is also touched on in the bill. Three cycles of egg retrieval and unlimited implantation. I don't think that would cause undue stress. Figuring how to pay for services to help you conceive a child and do what 98% of the other families can without intervention, is though. And the process of preparing for egg retrieval is intense and not without potential issues. Prompting more eggs to be ready to be retrieved than in a typical cycle isn't easy on the body or without risk. But it is one that ivm certain is thought to be very much worth taking for the parents of those 2% that managed to afford to be able to. If a service member can opt to store their reproductive genetic material so that their loved ones aren't deprived of the ability to create a family in the event that they lose the ability to do so through combat or they themselves are lost is actually kind of relieving and something I think we should be providing our military. They are expected to sign a directive (plan) for what they and their loved ones want to do in the event they are no longer able to voice their wishes much like many other things they already include in directives when deployed. IF they for whatever reason opt to donate, I don't see it much different from organ donation, conceptually. All that said, I appreciate you looking into it and sharing your thoughts. It's a very long read so that's quite admirable!

So, it would stand to reason that her motivation is to make a bill we can all agree to, for anyone, but especially to make it less difficult for our veterans and service members because she had experienced the struggle herself. Not because of corruption as the original comment suggested. I was not at all implying that being a veteran or mother could exempt her from being corrupt.
