I am a self-proclaimed Professional Appreciator 😎. Whatever I can’t do (or even things I can), I appreciate others’ abilities! I am awed by talent! As a relative newbie to pouring, I cannot thank you enough for diving back to basics!! While I am fascinated by advanced techniques, recipes, etc. I find myself needing to go back to the beginning - A LOT, 😆! Your videos are amazingly helpful! Thank you, thank you, Artist Lady!!

Hello my friends. In this video I misspoke when speaking of densities and referred to them as thickness. When talking for 2 hours sometimes that happens but what densities means the mass of a substance. The volume. I apologize but thankfully we don't need to worry too much about that in this video but will address it once we get further down the path😘
@lechatbotte.3 жыл бұрын
Viscosities, densities, transparent vs opaque. Not for the faint of heart.
@LCRArt3 жыл бұрын
Actually, density is a very important part of acrylic pouring, which is why it is important to translate the meaning of density accurately. I love you and your teaching and have learned so much from you and others are as well. Not all of us understand what you meant to say and then many go back and relate incorrect information to other unknowing individuals because that’s what Tammy said. So as a teacher, it’s always something we have to worry about.
@tammyandersonart3 жыл бұрын
@@LCRArt I agree and will explain that in the next video. What I meant by saying it is not important, is that for this video and do to my mistake that I did not want to have to explain in writing what I meant to say but I agree that is important to understand and will be addressed when I can verbally do so.
@LCRArt3 жыл бұрын
@@tammyandersonart I have no doubt you’ll cover it and correct any misspoken points. You’re nothing if not thorough in your teaching, which is what I so love about your videos. So packed full of information and your passion for getting as much as you can to your subscribers is so beneficial to us. Thank you for all you do!

It’s easy to mix and pour. It’s not easy to get good results. It’s not simple to make something stellar. Even the same recipes don’t yield the same results all the time. Brands of paint vary too. Amount of binders and pigments and the quality .That’s how art is. Science and understanding all the variables is crucial. I love that you make it simple for newbies and old hands at this art form.

OMG! Tammy, no words will ever describe how happy you are making me with this new series. You are an amazing woman and artist, to give so much of your time and energy towards educating and teaching all of us. How truly blessed we are to have found you 🙏. I will be rewatching this video later today and taking copious amount of notes 🤣. I will also be saving this series. I am hoping, when it comes time, you will be explaining, Satin Enamels and when to use it, in this series. Also does it need to be Deco Art Satin Enamels, or will any Satin Enamel brand work? I am going to give your Satin Enamel recipe a try as I progress in my art journey. Once again, from the bottom of my heart ♥️ thank you 🙏. Much ❤️ love

Very nice instructional video. I'm starting to add Liquitex PM to my Floetrol/paint mix as well. That Liquitex is so expensive, but I don't mind using it with the Floetrol because it makes it last a long time. I just wait and get it on sale and use my credits at Michaels. Lol. I've been fiddling around trying to find the right consistency for "me". I am looking forward to your glue all video because I bought a gallon and so far I'm not happy with it at all. But I don't want to waste it.

Oh..I wanted to say that I use Modge Podge gloss as my pouring medium 70/30 and silicone oil when I want the cells and lacing with amazing results and instead of satin enamel for the puffy cloud effect I use a Modern Masters mettalic snow white mixed with a white which turns out great, so yeah, you just experiment and learn as you go with what you can get. Thanks again, what a journey!

Thank you very much for sharing your recipes and thoughts. I have also tried telling people that this is more of a science thing than an art thing when it comes to being able to get a painting to come out right with fluid art. Some don't get it. Same thing with comments, like, "Oh yeah. I've seen that. Even my 5-year-old son could do THAT." 🤦♀️😤 I didn't even bother defending such a statement or explaining. I like that you encourage others to keep experimenting. Thanks for the positive outlook. I am wondering about house paint being used as a base...I am still not sure when I would use that as a base unless I'm doing the bloom/turntable technique. Can I use it in other techniques? Thanks again 🙂

Thanks for taking the time for what you do. I've been just using paint and water, which you are right about not being able to do ring pours or blooms. The only thing I don't like is a bunch of cells. I don't mind little ones or lacing, so what would you suggest. I'm new at this, so I hope I'm making sense.
