I use a craf hobby heat knife. It cuts through and fuses. I use it for paracord bracelets as well. I did a similar slip knot. After watching your video I remembered one of my scout knots for whipping the ends of a rope and came up with a slightly different method. Instead of wrapping away from the loop I wrapped towards it rather than the “tail”. Still pulled through the loop and cut and fused ends
@Jeanne11252 жыл бұрын
I've done it this way also, as it's what I learned first. Any idea what I'm doing wrong though as I play with the bracelet, it seems to pull that string thru the hoop back out. :-( I appreciate your time.
@Vicktorious2 жыл бұрын
@@Jeanne1125 Sure I would we need to see what you’re doing to see what’s happening but I also know that when I use the craft knife or I use those ones where you can seal the end of threads I also always play it a little flat on the side to flatten it out to kind of seal it in a way

Hi, I used this technique and no issue. This year almost all the bracelets I have made fall apart. I believe I am following the instructions completely. I ordered new string from myintent. Any advice? I make the loop, wrap around, put the string through the loop, then pull. Then it falls apart! This never happened last year!
@Jeanne11252 жыл бұрын
I'm having this issue also. When I pull on the ends of the bracelet to make sure it stays put...it doesn't. EEK. What did you do to rectify the problem?

Oh, I forgot to add dont use the nozzle on the bottle. Unscrew the cap and use a toothpick to apply the glue. You wont get too much that way.
@misstiscornia70586 жыл бұрын
I have the same issue! I use the wax polyester string from the website, and I heat it up a bit - not quite as hot as sealing a knot - and that seems to help the issue.

@msspade20102 жыл бұрын

Interesting that you finish off by just going through the one loop and not taking the end through all the wraps of the sliding knot. I'll have to try it this way.

It did not look like you pulled your loop end through the wrap, which would hide it and then, cut both ends close and work them to inside the wrap, with just a bit of a twisting motion on each end to keep the tension even, then dab on a very little bit of e6000 or super glue.?and it is permanently secure, I just do not like that loop end showing above the wrap, it looks unstable to me even though it probably is ok, either way!🥴😊

Token? Its a washer.
@tammynelson15475 жыл бұрын
You could use a washer but the tokens MyIntent manufactures are made to effectively take the stamping (not too hard, not too soft) and come in many nice finishes unlike hardware washers.
