I MISS playing this game. Holly crap! Mario, Corky, Danel, Butler, Kosta (sp), Fransisco, and more. I would love to play this again!

Bolivar, probably the best Jai-Alai player of all-time! Thanks for posting this! I love seeing Jai-Alai again. I miss playing in Tampa, it was a great Fronton.

Great video!, I had the privilege of playing with most of these players at the Ocala fronton in the 70's. Thanks for the memories.

Was lucky enough to play pro at Melbourne/Daytona when they went on strike in late '88. I can really appreciate how good these guys were, especially Bolivar "the king". He and Felix as a doubles team were unbeatable.

No doubt the greatest game to ever play. It's coming back in the US with a great amateur scene. CT has a great new facility in Berlin and outdoor courts are popping up everywhere. This sport will make a comeback for the sheer greatness of playing it!

Man, I remember this game. I came to Tampa in 1986 and Jai Alai was here. Never made it to a game though. Reminds me of the opening credits of "Miami Vice." Great find though.

Bolivar with the one handed back hand is just lethal.

Up in CT it was absolutely the casinos. Foxwoods (largest in the world) came in and Mohegan Sun right after it. That and possibly corruption. It's making a comeback with people playing it, as far as new betting venues there was supposed to be a new one going in Dallas back in 09' but it fizzled out.

@Vancer1111 Besides Casinos becoming more prevelant, how did Jai Lai's popularity decrease so much ?? Use to be 20+ Frontons now only 5. did JaiLai's USA headquarters in 1990s make bad decisions , not use marketing and advertising? i don;t get it

Not certain when this was filmed. I believe the Tampa fronton closed in '99, and it's a Home Depot now.

I'm thinking the lottery probably had something to do with it.
