Does no one remember the celebration of the Nikolai Borschevsky goal in OT game 7 vs the wings to win the series? That was a huge celebration on the bench as well. Water bottle spraying and everything... its a natural reaction when scoring a series clinching OT goal. Dont ever say its an overeaction for scoring a series winning goal.

step 1: win any number of games between 1 and 3 step 2: lead in the next game until the third period step 3: lose the said game step 4: get scored on first in the next game step 5: how is this series over already? must have been not enough toughness... if you don't see how almost every game in the regular season is a microcosmos of the above whether win or lose, prepare to be surprised again. The team is great as long as everything goes according to plan and gets selfdestructive once adversity hits.

How soon they forget. 2020-21 - Sure Mtl made the finals, now three not two years, but they also scored less than they were scored on that year. Three non-playoff teams had more wins than the Habs and two had more in the same Conf. (but dumb covaids rules prevailed). They stank but got on a lucky run (5 OT wins vs 1 OT loss...crappy Winnipeg upset the Oilers giving the Habs a much easier 2nd rnd, etc...come on). 2019-20 -The Habs again didn't have a winning record and lost in the first found. 2018-19 - The Habs didn't make the playoffs 2017-18 - The Habs didn't make the playoffs 2016-17 - The Habs had a dece record but lost in the first round 2015-16 - The Habs didn't make the playoffs The Habs have had one successful season (by luck and after making their fans endure some awful puck) in about 8-9 years. Kypreos can be a bit much at times, but his instincts were right. Habs have been poo for quite some time now.

Is there any other pro sports league where folks talk openly about "tanking"? Seems to me that a league that is sponsored by gambling interests would want to be a bit more discreet about throwing games.

Sammy is so delusional. Doesn't matter how teams play going into the playoffs. Each playoff game is an independent event. Nothing to do with any other game period.

ur not hiring a player to win the cup--ur hiring a player to make a profit (both by revenue and by team market value). scoring 70 prolly helps the odds of increasing both of those a lot more than the risk of losing the player for the playoffs. yawn

As far as who’s spot the habs are going to take in the playoffs look out Tampa Bay and dare I say the most poorly built team in the league the Toronto maple leafs
