As a native of Tampa for over 50 years, Ybor City is more of a place for night life, although I have not been there in decades, based on videos I think your opinion would be much different if you went at night. Cuban sandwiches are typically eaten cold unless you request a pressed cuban or heated. There was a cute cuban couple who owned a sandwich shop across from my job and their sandwiches were authentic and delicious.
