Well, it does matter. Weight lifting is the one exercise that strengthens our bones. That really matters as we age. Most elderly people break bones at least once as they age. The nurses tell me they are a lot of elderly people in hospital after they fall and break their hips and arms. Weight lifting has the power to prevent that.

2:05 injured back, doctor tells her no more weightlifting anymore, they set you on a sedentary path which is what steals years off your life She didn’t go back to that doctor, kept her desire and goals alive and looked fo those who could help her get there
@iced8erg Жыл бұрын
no more weight lifting lady, just go sedentary and keep coming back to me once a month i'll prescibe you some pills (that'll slowly/SOFTLY kills you, muhaha i dont care as long as you get addicted to it it's money for me!!) that'll ease your symptomps. and that very doctor for some reason is borderline or.. is obese. tldr theyre the best at suppressing symptomps but worst at prevention for their own gain $$$

I love you, Edith! I'm coming on 64 and started powerlifting nearly 3 years ago. I love it. The pandemic hasn't helped but I so want to do a competition, on my bucket list so to speak, to participate for fun. Sadly there are not so many women my age who like to do this in the UK (it seems). All the competition entries are mostly much much younger (and stronger) but I just want to experience it and challenge myself!

The reason we do weight lifting is for ourselves. We don't do this for anyone else except ourselves. It's the one hobby we can do that makes our quality of life improve. It's no wonder our enemies get so angry at us for spending our time weight lifting because we do this just for us. We are not spending our time enriching them. So they get mad, because they are used to forcing us to take care of them instead of ourselves. Or they feel threatened because they are accustomed to hitting us until they get their own way. They are not accustomed to us being physically strong. Everytime I do weight lifting, my doctors tell me I have diabetes because they are afraid I will get strong. They try to force me to loose weight by frightening me with medical problems. It has happened every time I purchase a subscription to the gym. So I get really excited when I see elderly people weight lifting because I know I can continue to build up muscle as I get older, just like them.
