Honored to see you feature the necromancers of Wavebreaker. I made those NPCs and the fight, ten years ago, back in the Sacred East release when the keep was still located in the Inlet Bog, what is now the Sundered Scar.

Great videos, I’ve been binging them all day. I also heard a song from my Daedric MUSE expansion in this video which was a great surprise. For another fantastic villain, try giving the Almas Thirr Temple questline a go. Most of it involves political machinations between Hlaalu and Indoril, but one of the quests involves rescuing somebody from something called the Face-Stealer. Without much spoiler the enemies inside the dungeon and the boss itself is insanely creepy.
@boreanknight7 ай бұрын
Thanks Scipio! I love all the MUSE expansion tracks but your Daedric ones are my favorite. I'm playing through Tamriel Rebuilt currently on my second channel, and I'd love to make a follow up video soon. Thanks for the hint, I'm very interested now to explore that questline.

The attention to detail in TR is unbelievable. I've been taking a long break so I can get a fresh start on newer content, but I'll never forget moments like exploring old ebonheart for the first time and doing new faction questlines like the Imperial Legion... and the mages guild...

Ushu-dimmu is such a great bossfight cuz he’s straight nightmare fuel. Also I love what TR has added to the ashlanders I always thought the ashlanders part of the main quest was a small but really cool part of morrowind so to seem them expanded more is great
@boreanknight11 ай бұрын
I gonna have to explore their lore more in TR. They've grown on me in recent years and Armun Ashlands is strangely alluring to me. It's a barren wasteland but there's something about that region that is so mysterious. I haven't explored it much outside of Arvud and Ushu-Kur mine so I'm looking forward.

Gotta visit that place one of these days. Not sure what else you intend to do, but I'd love to see some videos on the locations. Five Coolest Cities, or Five Coziest Houses, maybe. Keep up the good work, regardless!

Thanks so much! Honestly I have so many ideas and your suggestions are great too - I actually plan to do videos on those themes. Right now I feel like reviewing some memorable bandits in Morrowind, should be a fun shorter video, another 5 mini bosses and thinking of doing a Skyrim Home of the Nords lore video. It's a project similar to Tamriel Rebuilt and there are few factions, characters and locations I'd love to cover.

I didn't pay Gra-Ghosh much of any mind when I was reshaping my half of eastern Molagreahd into what is now Dagon Urul (chef did the parts north of Firewatch and surrounding Helnim). I simply tucked her camp nearby to wherever it originally was and let it be. Funnily enough, Onimushili used to be a cave with Daedric detailing inside of it, which I promoted to its grand exterior. Apparently for the 2006 release of TR, they didn't have the time to add more Daedric and Dwemer ruins to the exterior, so many devs resorted to putting them in caves.

Dun Akafell is amazing but TR plans to overhaul it so it may become even better. As a part of a larger overhaul of Mephalan Vales region. And best part is that player gets a chance to restore it. But let's wait and see, this may take a while.

I was perhaps a little over-leveled when I encountered Akavoriac. My big Nord Viking was already Master of the Fighters Guild and going around fulfilling duties anyway. Perhaps out of a sense of obligation, perhaps out of boredom, or maybe he was just looking for a good fight. All the hype around Akavoriac had me hopeful that it would be that good fight. Alas he fell with but a few swings of Unending, as did the rest of Dun Akafell's residents. EDIT: While watching the video I went and fought Gra-Ghosh with the same Nord Viking character. Clad in my full Nordic Mail set and wielding Unending, I used no spells, powers, scrolls, or potions. A straight up fight. She managed less than 30 damage on me in 3-4 hits before falling under the axe as so many had before. Also, I want to recommend another mighty fight for you to consider. Paruddma the Dreugh Queen. I recently did this fight on two very different characters. The aforementioned Nord and much lower level Argonian magic user. While that Argonian has since gone on to become a Baluath Vampire, this was not the case when I fought Paruddma. Paruddma is located at the very deepest part of the winding underwater Dreugh city of Paruddma's Maw, which can be found in the far south of the current map at the bottom of Lake Andaram. You would encounter her as part of the Almas Thirr mages guild quest line. The fight is hard for a magic user, even an Argonian. Part of this is because in Morrowind Argonians do not have constant water breathing like in Oblivion and Skyrim. Instead all Argonians get a 2 minute water breathing spell that costs 5 magicka and always succeeds. This might sound like a good deal but when you also rely exclusively on magicka to deal damage it can be suboptimal. If anything being an Argonian gives you a false sense of security in your water breathing abilities. I had to raid the supply chests of every mages guild hall on both Vvardenfell and the mainland, plus brew my own potions and buy as many as I could find to ensure I would have enough magicka to reach Paruddma, let alone beat her. The way to Paruddma is long and winding, it is very easy to get lost and swim around for hours trying to find the right door to her lair. The entire city is filled with Dreugh and Blind Slaughterfish, including a fearsome Dreugh Man-O-War who's a proper challenge in his own right. I used over half of my stockpiled restore magicka potions before I finally found Paruddma. The fight against her is almost impossible for a squishy unarmored magic user. Even if I had any appreciable melee skills she can easily 1-2 shot me with her claws. Add to this her absorb magicka power, and the fact that when you're underwater you can only use on touch spells because on target ones do not work. I could not use my usual tactic of maintaining distance and raining down ranged magic, I had to get in close. The one saving grace is the shape of the room she is in, you enter from the top and there's a curtain of large hanging chains that surround the way down before it opens up wider. I was able to get her caught on the other side of those curtains giving me the chance to weave in and out of range. Without this her superior underwater speed would have denied me any chance of victory. There are also two heroes I owe my eventual win to. A Dremora and a Golden Saint, both summoned by scrolls I had stashed in my backpack (Ashfall mod) and almost forgot about. I wasn't even sure summons could swim but I was desperate enough to try and to my pleasant surprise they could. With the help of those summons I was able to not only beat Paruddma but trap her soul for the quest. It was a really fun fight because it was a genuine challenge, as are many fights with that character even after gaining a lot more power. Later on I went and beat Paruddma again with my big Nord. Having visited the enchanter and applying the art of Khajiit Trading to get an enchanted constant effect waterbreathing and swift swim ring in exchange for some of the many unused weapons in my loot pile, he was able to explore Paruddma's Maw at a more leisurely pace. However even with full heavy armor and the mighty axe Unending the Dreugh Queen proved a worthy foe, one of the more challenging fights Hroldir Stone-Cleaver has had. Paruddma is honeslty worthy of a whole video, and maybe you already did one I typed all of this before I bothered to look. If there is one I will find it after I finish this video and leave a comment there too, if not my recommendation stands. Just make sure you're well prepared with water breathing and restore health capabilities. You cannot rest under water and ranged attacks do not work. There is one saving grace though. If you choose to set a mark in the underwater city you can use Divine Intervention to get back to Old Ebonheart to rest or resupply before recalling to your mark. I didnt figure this out until my second visit when I realized Hroldir didnt have any means of soul trap that wasn't ranged. It sure would have helped my poor Argonian mage, but perhaps its for the best as not having that knowledge made the first fight all the more challenging and memorable.

Unending has a secret enchantment, not seen in game but it makes it really op. Something about increasing damage if you fight a stronger opponent, or maybe I remember it wrong. One of the developers wrote about it. I believe I slayed Akavorioc with it as well. I mean, Unending is really a weapon to carry you all the way through, I used it only when nothing else worked lol.
@HumphreyHorsehead9 күн бұрын
@boreanknight If I recall the dialogue from when you receive it correctly it mentions something about responding to adverse magic. I always thought it provided some kind of magic resistance buff that mirrors whatever magic is being cast at you but I've never really narrowed it down. I like it more for its aesthetic and the excellent minimum damage. Most big 2 handed axes, even ones with higher max damage, have a minimum damage of just 1. The fact that Unending has a whopping 15 minimum damage is great for those quick finishing hits when the enemy is at low health or if you don't have the opportunity to wind up for a full damage strike. I wish more games used Morrowinds weapon damage system, I really like how it's based on wind up rather than a dice roll for damage. I also rarely enable the "always use best strike" option because changing my strikes it feel more like a real fight.

There are much more modern looking Morrowind's out there, this one is just my personal "vanilla enhanced" modlist. I'll do a let's play with it soon so I'll talk more about it. As for the visuals: MGE XE (graphic extender with 5 cells distant land generated and shaders) Morrowind Enhanced Textures (ai enhanced vanilla textures) MWSE (script extender required for many mods to work) Better Bodies Simply Walking (fixes goofy walking & running animation) Familiar Faces (fixes vanilla faces, I don't like most of face mods so I use this one only) Glow in the Dahrk (windows glow at night, good for atmoshpere) Vapourmist (ads mist, not perfect and lowers fps a bit but adds so much atmosphere) Beautiful Cities of Morrowind (overhauls all towns in immersive, lore friendly way and matches TR towns) OAAB Grazelands & Tel Mora (overhauls named locations, works with Beautiful cities) Nordic Dagon Fel (makes Dagon Fel more... nordic) I think that's all for the visuals...
