I’m 9 almost 10yrs older than my husband. We met at work… He pursued me so hard, even though I wasn’t initially interested because of the age difference 24 and 33 at the time. But, he won me over eventually, because I got to know him through conversation and eventually outside of work. His maturity and independence was so impressive for his age and I really began to take him seriously. He already had a car he owned and had a financial plan in place for him to become a homeowner by 25… Which he did! We actually did it together! We just celebrated our 3yr wedding anniversary and 9yrs together! ❤

Your story is similar to mine but I met my husband on POF. He’s 9 years older than me. I wasn’t looking for anyone and had made a brief profile with no picture as a good friend of mine wanted me to get on there and check it out. I was on there a day and came across a man (now husband) who had an interesting profile. We started talking and exchanged numbers and both deleted our profiles the same day. I didn’t expect much to come of it but as we started talking and met up and went on dates we started to connect. He was 33 at the time and I was 25. We’re now 31 and 39 married and have been together for a little over 5 1/2 years.

My mother is 10 years older than my stepfather. They worked in the same hospital in the 80s. He had asked around and knew how old she was but she didn't know how old he was. She assumed he was around the same age because he was already a homeowner. He was a veteran. He wasn't phased by her being a widow or having 3 children. To her, they seemed to be in the same place in life. She didn't find out his age until they'd been together for a year and she was shocked. He thought it was funny since he'd known the whole time. They married in 88 and they're still married today.

Yep, they started dating in 2012 (they said in a video on her page that they started dating when she was 20, idk why they changed their story for this segment and said they were friends for a couple of years first - that's really confusing to me tbh) but Larry didn't file for divorce until 2015. Let's see first Mindy tells us her and Larry met when she got into a car accident back in August Then she tells us her and Larry met when she got into a car accident back in October and she went to get the report settled and her Larry exchanged numbers Then she tells us she got into a car accident and Larry asked could he take her picture cause he was a professional photographer Then she tells us her and Larry met when her and her best friend visited the reformatory around Halloween and Larry was volunteering Now we're finding out that she was volunteering at the reformatory and her and Larry were strictly platonic Make it make sense damnit. Btw if you guys go back and watch all her videos she said out of her mouth that her and Larry met when she got into a car accident back in August, then she went back and said she got into a car accident back in October, and Larry said in both interviews one with Truly and when they were interviewed with Dr. Phil that he asked Mindy could he take her picture. I wish people would stop endorsing huge age gap marriages. This may have been more normal in the past or if both people were both older but nowadays it is a bit weird to have a 30+ year age gap when someone is 20 vs 50. This is very predatory behavior and I wish media outlets would stop entertaining it. If someone is fresh out of their teen years getting married to someone 30 years older this is not ok.
