I have SO much time for PRB... it's like he says before the start of every song... "See you on the other side, boys!!" and then just dives the fack in! Love him. Massive kit skillset with big groove power and energy to counter that edge-of-seat abandon and 'rhythm risk take' that just makes him such a joy to watch and listen to. Level 42 are absolutely lucky to have him on board.

he is also lucky to be in level 42. That band is still tight AF.

I saw Pete in Rome first with Incognito then with Level 42. Always very energetic and imaginative, sometimes a smear but because he has too many ideas in just one millisecond and then he is not afraid to risk

Love to see Pete Ray Biggin with the band Snarky Puppy. This dude is funk personified.
@gustafsone5 жыл бұрын
Oh my god, I could only imagine how awesome that would be. Snarky Puppy can be funky as hell but they usually don't hit as hard as PB Underground's stuff. Another collaboration I want to see is Pete with Cory Wong and Joe Dart.

A true master funk drummer right here. Love his style and feel. He’s using the new iron cobra standard felt beater on the right and the new speed cobra standard rubber beater on the left on his speed cobra double pedals. Lol. Never seen that before. But those Tama starclassic hyperdrive drums sound absolutely amazing!!! Not sure if this is the BB, maple, or full bubinga but I’m guessing BB from the sound, also most hyperdrive starclassics nowadays are BB, but if it is the BB, I Have this same exact kit in a different finish and it’s just pure heaven. But just look at those Tama pedals and the incredible throw they have. Love how Tama pedals have so much throw, u can change settings with every pedal and get it sort of like that but I’ve noticed and felt Tama pedals are just much better and just love the feeling of Tama pedals and drums and their hardware is the best in the business as well. Just the best all around for me imo.

One more anaecdote about Pete Ray Biggin Whom I saw with INcognito now their drummer they had with them for many years was a True favorite of mine Richard Bailey. This cat was extremely funky and Smokin Chops Deep Pocket groove and could Drive his Set Through a Hail storm so For then to replace Richard who left because of health reasons and to fill his chair SPEAKS VOLUMES and I must say they Made a Tremendous Choice Pete Kick it up a notch even with his style I'm Sure Richard would agree. Pete is Awesome

Anyone know what hi hats he's playing, I think they're Sabian but not sure what kind
@gustafsone5 жыл бұрын
I think they are the 15” HH Vanguard Hats. The only reason I say this is because I found another video of Pete on Sabian's channel when he was playing a demo for them and it listed all of his kit cymbals in the info panel. I'm not sure if he used his standard kit for them, but it looks the same as this one from what I can tell.
