Great video. My dad and I visited Tamworth NSW back in September 1968. We stayed at the Zebra Motel within walking distance of the town centre. Tamworth has more likely grown quite a bit since then. Love all the wide streets there.

Tamworth, itself, is a great city... however, as I found out a few years ago, if you are a Country Music fan and visit for the CM festival in January - 50% of the locals will welcome you - 25% will marginally tolerate you - 25% will hate you. It greatly surprised and disappointed me, given how much money the festival brings into the region.

Why would it surprise you, the town is taken over for 10 days, only a small percentage of the population own businesses & not all of them benefit from the festival & those that do don't get to enjoy the festival.
