Even though the weather wasn’t great some of the canal looks very pretty. It’s always so relaxing watching your videos. Thank you

I know the people who own the boat you met at the narrows at 4:20! Their boat swims really well and has a very effective reverse - as you see, she can stop quickly, and there's even a bit of steering left.
@NarrowboatJourneys4 жыл бұрын
They handled that well. It always seems to happen on those narrow bits.

Great video Phil...we went through Fazely on our trip some weeks ago now, and that bridge immediately as you approach the junction caused me to make some very hasty last minute adjustments as I went through....I put it down to my inexperience, and so it’s very reassuring to see that it catches out even someone with many years of boating under their belts....! So enjoying your vlogs....🍷🍷

Thank you. There was some overhanging vegetation partially hiding it I think?

The acoustic guitar music in this video is amazingly good!!!! (the synthesizer music tends to make me feel a bit suicidal) Anyway, great video as always. More guitar, please. You have a huge talent.
@NarrowboatJourneys5 жыл бұрын
Erm... thank you, I think? You could always mute the sound since most of my music is synth based. My goal is to record guitar with synth sounds but I need a ""midi merge" unit before that's going to work...

I did just the same thing the other week as we went through the bridge into Fazeley Junction and it actually put quite a dent in the hull. It was late evening and the sun was low in the sky which made it worse. There is some ironworks just under the waterline I think. Nice video.
@NarrowboatJourneys5 жыл бұрын
Yes, there is some bent train track forming a barrier near the waterline I think. Very hard to damage that.

Thanks for that yet again. A fascinating and pleasureable jaunt. Loved the guitar music. To be honest I prefer it to the synth but whatever floats yer boat. :-)

Good video Phil, You should attach small waterproof camera so it will be easier to navigate the blind spots. From Ray

Hi Phil. On the Tame Aqueduct is that a WW 2 pill box, it certainly looks like one, but on the canal? Great vlog thank you

Yes, they are dotted around all over the canal and river system. They were worried the Germans were going to invade in boats! It must have been an easy posting during the war.

Wow I live at Alvecote Marina , that turn , when they reversed I've seen boats hit eachother as I walk along the canal everyday , I hit the fazely junction bridge too , we've been as far as Hopwas
@NarrowboatJourneys5 жыл бұрын
It would help a lot if they cut some of the overhanging vegetation down by that narrow bit. :-)

Good evening Phil, another nice one, thank you. Could the people aboard the boat you met at the second pinch point be regarded as Argo-nauts ? Sorry, I have a very childish sense of humour sometimes.

@@NarrowboatJourneys thanks for confirming on the pill box and i found the link -- on the side-pound does the local city gov. control its use and maintance ? or does CRT control maintance and use -- or is there any way to tell if its completely abandoned and beyond usable function ??
