There are many different Tamzaras, as the dance was widespread throughout Armenia with many distinct regional variations, probably the most characteristic of the dances of Western Armenia. Most traditional versions are now forgotten, supplanted by the modern American version with the turns and clapping which is now popular with the younger generation . This is the traditional tamzara from Erzerum/Karin, still seen occasionally at picnics. Nice job.
