@@Breaking-heart-til-it-opens there's nothing wrong with doing things that aren't traditionally feminine, however pretending that you're better than other girls because of it is shitty and misogynistic. Why not just be you? It's difficult I'm still working on being myself but it's great. And if you just take ridicule in your stride and snide looks for being what you want you can be so much better off than lying to yourself about who you are and how you want to be. I'm a bit of both I'm feminine but not scared to get dirty, I help my mechanic dad and boyfriend. I go to farms and help I love fishing, 4x4ing and camping. I love the idea of being a mum, I like dresses and shorts/jeans, I wear cowgirl boots and hats. I almost never wear make up but my hair is long and cared for and almost never up. You don't have to be one or the other and it's not just men causing it. It's society as a whole. And if anything my guy friends helped me more than any girl friend. And the girls are the ones that made me feel like I couldn't be myself. So don't just bag out guys when it's a societal issue not a men issue.

@WhitneyDahlin5 жыл бұрын
Nah. Tana is TOTALLY at fault. I don't like either of the Paul Brothers but she LIED and pretended to be someone she wasn't and then blamed him. He isn't a mind reader! How was he supposed to know she wasn't who she was pretending to be?! Why did she think pretending to be the total opposite of who she was would create a loving relationship where he accepted her and loved for who she was?!! That is the STUPIDEST thing I have ever heard. This is why you shouldn't lie and pretend to be someone or something you're not especially in a romantic relationship. You might be able to get away with it for a little while but spend enough time with someone and their true self comes out. If you pretended to be someone you weren't to make someone fall in love with you then they won't actually be in love with you at all. Plus they are going to feel betrayed and lied to and like you tricked and manipulate them into loving you (which you did). Tana's childhood is no excuse to lie and manipulate someone. Plenty of us have had far worse childhoods than hers and you don't see us running around manipulating people than getting upset when it doesn't work. That's EXACTLY what happened. Tana tried to manipulate the King of manipulation, failed then got all upset her efforts to seduce and trick him didn't work.

Thank you for addressing the fires in Australia! I am living in the midst of the fires and I can tell you it is the scariest, most dreadful thing I have ever experienced. Thank you so much because I have hardly seen any influencers/KZbinrs addressing it and awareness needs to be spread. Xx

hey angelika!! australian here. thankyou so so much for bringing up the aussie fires. i dont think enough people understand how much this affects the rest of the world and how serious it is. this is not normal. tonnes and tonnes of co2 (2/3 of australia's annual emissions within like 4 months) have been emitted by the fires. literally new zealand has been getting smoke, over 2,000km away. i live in the heart of melbourne, not even near the fires, and i haven't really gone outside for like 5 days because of the smoke. im worried for the people who have to go outside for work or responsibilities. im terrified, and i cant even imagine what it would be like for those that are directly affected. future generations are facing the prospect of six months of smoke a year if they're lucky enough not to have their house burn down........ (also: i know you said the death toll was at 13, it is actually at 23. and the infographic that you showed at around 19:58 is incorrect as the comparisons are not to scale and 'extent of active fires' map is not current)

Thank you for talking about the fires. I live in Melbourne and this is a very stressful and upsetting time for myself and my country. Just the other day I was on instagram and wondering why none of the major people I followed were talking about it because when the Amazon was burning or when Notre Dame burnt down they were all over my feed. Some have started posting now but there are many that have stayed silent. So seeing your support is very refreshing and appreciated

Thank you for helping spread awareness about the Australian Fires. As an Australian it is heart breaking to see the lack of information being shared about it compared to much smaller and less significant fires. Most of the people fighting these fires are volunteers who the Prime Minister won’t pay even though they have been doing this for months and some have even lost there jobs due to the sheer amount of time they have taken off to help there community. Thanks for your support

Thank you so much for mentioning the bush fires here in Australia. I was actually so surprised to hear a youtuber talking about it. There hasn’t been much coverage of it and its getting really bad. Worse than the California fires and even the Amazonian fires yet cause it’s Australia no one really seems to care. Thank you!

thank you so much angelika for mentioning australia at the end. i saw rain for the first time in months yesterday. it wasn’t much, but it was still rain, and i cried. we’ve already lost so much and it took so long for the world to pay attention. i understand the historical value of the notre dam, but this is an entire country and the value of human life, wildlife and indigenous land should surpass that of a building. it wasn’t until there was a death toll that social media started to rally, yet we’ve been burning for months. i truly cannot remember what fresh air smells like or what it’s like to breathe without inhaling smoke. anyway, i just wanted to say thank you for talking about it ❤️❤️❤️

He has a lot of bad experience with merch so of course he's not going to want to read these things. Mr Star needs all the feed back to fix it. On the Tana situation: She may be lying about it all, I’ve heard that claim being tossed around, but the thing is that the situation she’s in is a very real situation for many people. So imagine this: a young fan of tana watching her video, they love tana they don’t want to see her get hurt and they can see how distrust she is from it. Then it clicks: they have a friend in that situation, or even they themselves are in that situation. Often we don’t see the hurt that is done to us or to those closest to us because it’s easier to cope if we just ignore it or make excuses for it, like tana is doing, then to actually face what’s happening. But seeing it from an outsider prospective happening to someone a bit remote but that we still care about sometimes helps all the pieces come together. So yeah, tana may be making the whole thing up (which I don’t think she is), but if in a weird roundabout way it helps someone, well that’s all that matters. And fucking leave that boy tana #BetterTana2020

About the cotton t-shirts: you are TOTALLY right about polyester being plastic and we def should avoid buying new poly and poly blend clothes. Thank you for bringing that up! Cotton production is very heavy on the environment and I would encourage us all to try and reduce how many new clothes we buy in general. A shirt being made from an organic material does not necessarily mean it's better (see workers treatment and environment impact of cotton production). The best thing budget and environment wise would be to thrift and exchange clothes with friends.

The Jaclyn Hill Cosmetics thing reminded me of how one of JSC‘s retailer sold the Conspiracy Palette for 80€ which would be almost 90$. I get taxes and everything but still. Wtf.

@BarbraCherry_5 жыл бұрын
lonelytoker _ Fair enough. But almost 40$ more than on JSC is a bit much imo. Also I don’t know who decided to sell it at that price. Other palettes that are sold for 52$ on his website are sold for approximately 67$ at this retailer. I think they just saw the hype around the palette.
@nicvermin15505 жыл бұрын
All of JSC’s retailers sell for the same price? Since it’s an e-commerce brand it’s really just not feasible for a third-party retailer to have a higher list price since u can just open a new tab to his store... it is also common for counterfeiters to sell sold out products for a higher price as it draws in the appeal of a rare item 👀
@BarbraCherry_5 жыл бұрын
Nic Vermin oh no it‘s real. The brand is called Marionnaud. They even did some meet&greets in Europe back in 2018. Maybe it’s more expensive because of taxes idk. But since it’s mostly not that much more expensive and I don’t have to pay shipping and taxes I buy it from there. I only bought the Conspiracy Palette there because on the day it launched they had a -20% sale otherwise I would’ve waited for a BeautyBay restock.
