Still one of the greatest players rugby has ever seen. His vision, explosive power and offensive awareness are just amazing. His footwork is second to none, able to change direction almost at will despite running with his body tilted. Charismatic too, the only All Black captain that didn't received ANY complaints from the fans the week he was appointed captain.(Even Todd Blackadder received a couple complaints)

Rugby is hard enough without trying to end a mans career. I was fearless in the tackle & was concussed once in the normal run of the game. Spear tackling 2 on 1 is well out of order, a bit cowardly, so yeah. Fuck that.

Not my words: "It was the single worst incident I've ever seen on a rugby pitch" "If O'Driscoll didn't have the upper body strength.... his neck could have been broken". If you Google Tama Umaga, Google autocompletes "Tama Umaga Spear Tackle". Try it. Gaelic football is a great sport, but 8 years playing right wing taught me how to tackle & be tackled. I've been knocked out but never been speared, it's a hard enough game without that nonsense. If Tama apologises it's forgiven. But he hasn't.

I have huge respect for Kiwi rugby, went over from the U.K. to see Canterbury play a couple of years ago. I have no respect for Tana Umaga. He has no place in the best sport on the planet.

Of course no-one went on the pitch with the intention of spear-tackling anyone, but when Tama & Keven saw their chance they picked him up & smashed BOD head first into the turf. Look at the footage. Show me where Brian O'Driscoll ever did something as sneaky as that, then I'll agree with your karma statement. In my opinion I think you don't know what you're talking about ( & that's me being polite ).
