In this video I have explained the features of Tanabe Sugano Diagram and the use of UV Visible spectrum and Tanabe Sugano Diagram to determine Racah parameter B and ∆o. Though I haven't explained that we can also identify the high spin and low spin nature of complexes but this can also be predicted by Tanabe Sugano Diagram.

Really good explanation and easily understood the concept...sir u could also have include an example in which we have to calculate the missing transition energy...still it was great to see the full video.

Why it is taken from 32 why cant we take piont from 10 or 20??? Please rpl sir.....

See Deeksha, you have energy value of two transitions and you get the ratio of 1.32 (28500÷21550=1.32), now you have to calculate the value of ratio very close to 1.32 and for this you have to measure height of two transitions with the help of scale and at 32.8 ∆°\B you have the ratio 1.36 (9.8/7.2=1.36) ok. Now if you want to measure them at value 10, go at value of 10 at horizontal line and draw arrows for two transitions at value of 10, and then take ratio, it will not come close 1.32, similarly if you calculate for 20 again it will not come close to 1.32, however at 32.8 this ratio is 1.36 which is close to 1.32. That's why we will measure at 32.8. I hope I answered your query. Feel free to clear your doubts. Thank you.

Measure height of the transitions with the help of ruler for the two transitions, one height is 9.8 and other is 7.2 see video again from time 35 to 39 minutes.
