The video is absolutely amazing. But aikido techniques with opera music background? It is a little weird. Have you tried using traditional Japanese music for the background?

50% of aikido is learning to fall. To be a good uke, you need to know how to accept the throw and preserve yourself. Being thrown is scary when you first begin to practice. Once you know how to move with the force of the ki into a fall, you fall safely.

If you haven't seen the stars with a slight pressure on your wrist with a proper technique, you won't understand.

It "works" even better if they don't. If by "works", you mean maims or kills the attacker.

I see these comments all the time. Do you people practice full contact in your dojo? Sure, if you are fully dressed in armor. Uke is trained to fall and avoid injury. Have you ever worked out with an aikidoka? If not then you speak in ignorance.

Is this the beaty of aikido? Ineffective techniques? Take a look at iwama ryu aikido, that is the aikido of the founder.
@aikidoeducation59498 жыл бұрын
+yoshimitsu72 This statement is absolute nonsense. Wake Sensei has an excellent Iriminage. He captures Uke's balance from the attack and throws with energy. Not unlike Saito Sensei - as demonstrated on video - when he was young.
@yoshimitsu728 жыл бұрын
+Aikido Education in iriminage techique, when uke is on the mat, why does he goes up? Why doesn't he rules away? Because it's a faking technique.
@aikidoeducation59498 жыл бұрын
Nonsense. Not only is Wake Sensei's Aikido not fake, his Irimi Nage is also not fundamentally different from the Irimi Nage of Saito Sensei. If you study videos of Wake Sensei performing Irimi Nage, in particular, it is evident that he generates real force. Use must protect himself to avoid injury. Not fake at all.
@yoshimitsu728 жыл бұрын
+Aikido Education I tried both techniques and I tell you a few honbu dojo techniques are unreal, like iriminage an kotegaeshi...
@StefanoGalati838 жыл бұрын
I would only answer to your "is the aikido of the founder", O'Sensei had tell "I'm the AIKIDO", and with this sentence he had explain a fundamental principle that every aikidoka must learn and know: there isn't a single aikido, there is no single form, each must create within themselves their own aikido, following the basic principles and basic rules that the founder taught. In fact, Ueshiba has never given a specific name to the techniques, were Tada Sensei and Saito Sensei that codified that which O'Sensei explained. And to finish Ueshiba has never crowned Saito Sensei as his successor as well as he never identified in Iwama his real school; it is also true that he taught only to Saito Sensei all the secrets of the sword and jo.

A cute ballet dance between two male lovers. Confirms aikido has zero practical application. The joke of the martial art world. Heck even tai chi when done fast can be used as self defense.
