Hey Guys! Glad yall were able to enjoy my home state of Guerrero without any problems! As someone who lived there for most of my childhood, I never felt unsafed or paranoid although most of the dangers there are seen on a regular; but as you mentioned previously most of it is in between cartels & many people actually appreciate the cartels cause they take care of the people more than the government does. Although the real culture of Guerrero itself doesnt really show in tourist areas I would like to give you a few pointers! Guerrero & Michoacán are considered “Tierra Caliente” which literally means “Hot Land” because of the climate there obviously. Also you should really look into the music. Tierra Caliente haves their own kind of music apart from the rest of Mexico. Bands like “Gerardo Diaz y su Gerarquia” “Los Costeños” “Banda Roja” etc are just some of the few bands that represent the Michoacán & Guerrero area. One song you could listen to is “El Mas Grande de Guerrero “ which will give you an idea of what Im talking about. Also if you get the opportunity after hopefully this Pandemic ends, yall should really really consider going to a baile!! Whenever you hear of bands coming to an area yall should really consider going to one & have the whole experience of a dance party which will be really fun & eye opening & give you a better sense of Mexico culture. Also will be an amazing KZbin video. Thank you for sharing the beauty of Mexico & especially my home state of Guerrero ❤️ yall be safe!
@davidjaimez79004 жыл бұрын
Also not to mention we have our own words we use like cocho, quache, cuchi, etc! We have our own “sombrero” that represent Guerrero y Michoacán called “el sombrero calentano o de astilla” which signals a sign of respect among whoever wears it. Also our own way to “zapatear” which is a form of dancing by tapping your feet unto the floor. Just want yall to have a bigger insight of these two beautiful states. Sorry for rambling lol Thank you again!

One of the first TV sporting events I can ever remember watching was a competition between Mexican and US-American divers at Acapulco. It must have been in the mid-1960s. I remember the announcer saying the divers had to judge the waves coming into the little bay so that there was enough water to jump into! I remember the US-Americans did all kinds of twists and spins while the Mexican divers did the more graceful head first dives. So, you two kids stay healthy. I worry that Mexico is not taking the Covid-19 epidemic seriously enough.

Thanks for doing this, Acapulco is a beautiful city with even better people in it and it deserves more than a few apologies by the media for all the fearmongering. When I was there I lived in Progreso which is an uphill climb from the beach area, so going to the beach was kind of a chore to be honest, but if you want they have these VW Bettles going to every neighborhood for 8 pesos (if I recall correctly??) Cheaper than buses and they work better, faster etc.
@FeelingShred4 жыл бұрын
The cars (there are many different types, not just that one orange/green that appeared in the video) also have an advantage: you tell them where you want to go and they leave you there, you are not limited to whatever the bus stop is making you walk more etc Not that walking is that big of a deal, I'm used to it, but it's a nice plus if you already walked the entire day and just want to go home quick.

So, I saw you two in the Cancun airport on March 14th! I wanted to say Hi and thank you for your amazing travel videos, but you both looked busy at a counter near customs. I hope when things get better, you'll be able to post more videos. Thanks again for the quality content!
