In case you missed the disclaimer at the beginning of this video, this was filmed several weeks ago before the coronavirus started wreaking havoc on the western hemisphere. We've since canceled all future travel plans and have been self-quarantining at our home in Puerto Morelos. Stay safe, everyone!

I really enjoy ur vlogs......Acapulco had always been a favorite of mine.....I used to go every year in January and would meet 2 of my brothers there for about a week long vacation....then shortly after 2010 was really getting bad with drug cartel fighting and American airlines in 2011 stopped all service to Acapulco.....I'm happy to see Acapulco starting to comeback....2 months ago American eagle out of Dallas started service back to Acapulco....2 days a week Tuesday and Saturday for those of u interested.....thanks Tangerine travel u folks are great...

Thanks to make me remind my live there, walking on la Costera without any worries to be assaulted. Thanks God I was there last year in January taking care my mom, but i enjoyed to went to the beach at La Roqueta. By the way, when you have chance, lease visit this beautiful place, specially the beaches behind the island, beaches called Las Palmitas and Los Enamorados.

9:10 Q.Q.RÚ would be pronounced “Cucurrú” in Spanish (the letter Q is pronounced like “cu”), which could be alluding to a famous Mexican song from the 50s called Cucurrucucú Paloma, which has been covered by many important artists over the years, and it’s title is an onomatopoeic reference to the sound a dove would make.

Acapulco really is a unique place and I hope that some day it recovers its popularity from the 50's and 60's. Videos like these definitely help attract tourist so thank you.If you're ever there again I'd love to recommend you some places! Also, people on FB are sharing your videos a lot to help spread the word (that's how I got here), so know that we appreciate your work. I also lived in Las Vegas for a number of years so I'll be checking those videos out! Fun fact: Colectivos are actually more expensive than buses but only because they travel greater distances and I guess they're a bit faster. They're still not the best tho lol

Hey Guys! Glad yall were able to enjoy my home state of Guerrero without any problems! As someone who lived there for most of my childhood, I never felt unsafed or paranoid although most of the dangers there are seen on a regular; but as you mentioned previously most of it is in between cartels & many people actually appreciate the cartels cause they take care of the people more than the government does. Although the real culture of Guerrero itself doesnt really show in tourist areas I would like to give you a few pointers! Guerrero & Michoacán are considered “Tierra Caliente” which literally means “Hot Land” because of the climate there obviously. Also you should really look into the music. Tierra Caliente haves their own kind of music apart from the rest of Mexico. Bands like “Gerardo Diaz y su Gerarquia” “Los Costeños” “Banda Roja” etc are just some of the few bands that represent the Michoacán & Guerrero area. One song you could listen to is “El Mas Grande de Guerrero “ which will give you an idea of what Im talking about. Also if you get the opportunity after hopefully this Pandemic ends, yall should really really consider going to a baile!! Whenever you hear of bands coming to an area yall should really consider going to one & have the whole experience of a dance party which will be really fun & eye opening & give you a better sense of Mexico culture. Also will be an amazing KZbin video. Thank you for sharing the beauty of Mexico & especially my home state of Guerrero ❤️ yall be safe!

Also not to mention we have our own words we use like cocho, quache, cuchi, etc! We have our own “sombrero” that represent Guerrero y Michoacán called “el sombrero calentano o de astilla” which signals a sign of respect among whoever wears it. Also our own way to “zapatear” which is a form of dancing by tapping your feet unto the floor. Just want yall to have a bigger insight of these two beautiful states. Sorry for rambling lol Thank you again!

Oh! Something to watch. Here in NYC the saddest thing is happening. 10000s of people losing their jobs: waiters, personal trainers chefs, cooks, retail store salespeople, bartenders. Food prices going up 50%,, IF YOU CAN FIND THE FOOD. IT IS SOOOOO SAD. Never seen this since 9/11. Stay safe.

One of the first TV sporting events I can ever remember watching was a competition between Mexican and US-American divers at Acapulco. It must have been in the mid-1960s. I remember the announcer saying the divers had to judge the waves coming into the little bay so that there was enough water to jump into! I remember the US-Americans did all kinds of twists and spins while the Mexican divers did the more graceful head first dives. So, you two kids stay healthy. I worry that Mexico is not taking the Covid-19 epidemic seriously enough.

Thanks for doing this, Acapulco is a beautiful city with even better people in it and it deserves more than a few apologies by the media for all the fearmongering. When I was there I lived in Progreso which is an uphill climb from the beach area, so going to the beach was kind of a chore to be honest, but if you want they have these VW Bettles going to every neighborhood for 8 pesos (if I recall correctly??) Cheaper than buses and they work better, faster etc.

The cars (there are many different types, not just that one orange/green that appeared in the video) also have an advantage: you tell them where you want to go and they leave you there, you are not limited to whatever the bus stop is making you walk more etc Not that walking is that big of a deal, I'm used to it, but it's a nice plus if you already walked the entire day and just want to go home quick.

I have a hotel in calderitas for cinco de mayo. Do you think MX will be back open by then? It should be safer there than in usa (20,000) and mexico (500).

After running the numbers, I think Mexico will have millions of COVID-19 cases by the beginning of May if they don't take drastic containment efforts.

It's really hard to say. And to be honest, I think there are way more cases of coronavirus in Mexico than have been reported yet. We do feel safer here (right now) but who knows what the future will bring. The government is being far too cavalier about this virus than what's necessary to stop the spread of it

So, I saw you two in the Cancun airport on March 14th! I wanted to say Hi and thank you for your amazing travel videos, but you both looked busy at a counter near customs. I hope when things get better, you'll be able to post more videos. Thanks again for the quality content!
