On 1st June I had a meeting in Carnforth so had to fit in recording The Cumbrian Coast Express around this.
Fortunately Tangmere and its support loco headed to Carlisle quite early so I filmed it approaching Tebay. It was scheduled to stop there but didn't.
At Carnforth Station I caught the Cumbrian Coast Express behind Class 86 Les Ross / Peter Pan heading to Carlisle.
After my meeting I had plenty of time to get to Arnside to see Tangmere and the Cumbrian Coast Express at speed skirting the River Kent Estuary on Morecambe Bay. Hard to pan and keep steady with the loco but I think it works.
Finally at Hest Bank I caught Les Ross returning the Cumbrian Coast Express to London.
A few other trains were caught as well.
On 2nd June we had the surprise of The Belmond British Pullman train running empty (though apparently with its on-board crew) to E G Steele at Hamilton. After laying over overnight, it will proceed the following day to Edinburgh, work and excursion to Gleneagles with the trAin running empty back to Stewart's Lane

superb video Les some excellent footage there matey loved the zoom shot of the kettle going over Kent Viaduct really good also the very interesting clip of the West Coast "scrapyard" and wow that Fragonset 47 brought back some great memories many thanks Les for sharing loved it stay safe a t b syd👍

I have your Ulverston-Lancaster book as well as North Lancs and Cumbria ones. Happy memories.I even saw a Claughton as well as filthy Princess Coronation Streamliners on my trips to Hest Bank from my home at Skipton in the late 1940's. Love your scenes around Carlisle but not quite the same with no Canal A3's.

That's a handy bridge at Tebay. Ooops, looks like somebody threw some coal on the fire. Some good passing action at Carnforth. A couple of reminders from back when. What ever happened to those two enterprises? Another useful viewpoint at Hest Bank.
