We have been enjoying your short routines, and the slow motion clips. I must say I take notes so I can refresh my memory on the practice floor.

Bonjour Egils, c'est difficile pour les débutantes comme moi, mais si agréable à regarder Romans et Violette ! Merci pour les explications.

Sorry for my english as it's not my native language. I was wondering if there is a place where we can find rules about the head position for both partners in various dances . I am always in doubt when dancing direction i have to look and my partner is in same trouble sometime.

Thanks for interesting question. Basic rule is that Man keeps head to slightly to left and a bit more to left in PP. Also good rule is that you look in same direction your feet are pointing. For Lady simplest rule - head slightly to left in closed position, to right in promenade position.

I may be wrong here, but as the lead I control to some extent the position of the ladies head. I think of it as a tea pot that I am pouring and her head turns in the direction of the pouring. That being said I find it is relatively easy to turn the ladies head in tango, much more subtle in waltz.
