In case anyone was wondering, end crystals don’t really blow up things on their level, they blow up things above them. A good end crystal kill needs the obsidian in the ground not on top of the ground

More specifically, end crystals damage the feet of the player, so the obsidian on top of the ground reduces damage taken by blocking the feet

thats not really why to be honest. In minecraft, explosions are calculated by how much damage is done to your feet. If your legs are covered by a block, an explosion won't do any damage to you. The end crystal being so high is why it isn't doing much damage, not because they explode upward. their radius is a ball just like all other explosions. This is also why tnt on half slabs do far more damage, it puts the explosion at the optimal height for maximum damage, the shin.

Red mode is going to be the true test, and there's a reason Tango's doing well beyond just his Double Boogie luck. That is part of it, but it's assisted by the fact that he stays out of conflict, in a system where PVP is more punishing for the losers than it is rewarding for the winners. Tango, Scott, and Impulse are all super careful about PVP engagement in a system that punishes risktaking, so it's likely at least 2 of those will make it to Final 3.

So Pearl stole Scott’s enchanting table, Grian stole TIES enchanting table, they thought it was the bad boyz and stole their enchanting table. Then Martyn and Scott got back their table, and “Pearl” tried to get it back but accidentally stole a *different* enchanting table, and Scott asked if TIES got stolen (which it was, not by “Pearl”) and so he told them Pearl stole the enchanting table. And someone how Scar... wasn’t involved in any of this?

It's even more hilarious than that. 1. The bad boys stole TIES enchanting table (Grian took it when they went on the raid for the brewing stand in Ep 5). 2. Pearl stole Scott and Martyn's in Ep 5 (actually the end of Ep 4), then they got it back when 'Pearlizzie' tried to boogie kill them and they didn't fall for the trap. She'd told them it was at the bottom of the stairs (where the dispenser lava trap was), both said 'oh, that's not suspicious at all'. Martyn opened the chest near the entrance to the trap, found the enchanting table and went 'oh, here it is' and they both left. You could hear Lizzie say 'I've made a terrible mistake' as they left. Grian later fell for the trap because buttons, Lizzie offers him the second. 3. Lizzie found a table at the bad boys villager area (which was the one they stole from TIES), and stole that. 4. She also plans to trap Grian for a boogie kill. She lures him into the same area she'd tried to trap Scott and Martyn in, offering him the enchanting table she'd just stolen (from the Bad Boys, although neither of them knew that). Grian falls for the trap because buttons. 5. In a subsequent conversation with Scott, she said she'd stolen Scott and Martyn's table back again. Scott asked where she'd stolen it from, she said it was near the world border. Scott automatically assumed she meant the world border near the Coral Isles/TIES bases, when she actually meant the other side of the world border, and knowing that his and Martyn's table was still there, laughed and told Pearl that she hadn't stolen his, she'd actually stolen TIES, who were her only allies. Ironically, he was right, because even though she'd stolen it from the Bad Boys, they'd stolen it from TIES in the first place. 6. Scott tells TIES that Pearl stole their enchanting table. 6. Pearl, thinking she'd stolen her allies' table, decided to 'plant' the table on the Bad Boys, and then tell TIES that the Bad Boys had stolen it (not knowing that Scott had already told TIES that she'd stolen it). AFAIK, she hasn't had the opportunity to tell TIES yet. She passed it onto Jimmy, who put it in the mansion. 7. Tango and Etho found it when they were raiding the bad boys chests at the mansion, and took it, not knowing that they were stealing back their own table. This enchanting table has been stolen more than any of the series where they only had the one enchanting table.

I thought it was hilarious as well that Pearl has been hanging out to get boogie so that she could use her trap, and on the week that she wasn't there she got boogie, and Lizzie got killed by the trap not even knowing it was there (and Jimmy got killed by it as well even though he did know it was there, because he was nearly killed by it when Martyn found it the first time lol).

I may be wrong but I believe the reason BDubs survive that was because he was on an dirt paved block which is technically lower than the grass block the obsidian was placed on the blast damage from end crystals is calculated off of your feet

something i love about this season is that reds still stay with their team and alliances, that was the one thing i really didn't like about last life when reds had to say bye to their team and it just ended up being an unfair war between yellow and reds, not caring about any of the lore that had been built up so the end just felt weird. hoping it stays like season 1 with everything together until the actual end where then it can devolve into a quick everyone for themself
