In India, people are exploited. That is why, malls are open all the time. Over here, there is a clear separation between work life and personal life. Those working in malls are also allowed a decent time off to spend with their families and that is why, shops close on Sunday evening. That is a good thing. Canada has a very good transport system. Sorry that you had to endure such hardships in cold winters. I have seen that even though I had a job in Canada right from day one. But Canadian transport system is far superior than any Indian city. Please buy a car as you always need that in North America. Canadians dildaar nahin hote. And please don't pick furniture from curb as that is garbage. As a student, you might be getting tempted but please don't do that. Furniture buying is a one time expense. Buy new or used furniture from someone in good condition. You never know that the mattress or the bed or the couch which you picked up from the curb was urinated by someone's pet. I am writing to you as you are my kid's age. Hope my comments might benefit some other kids coming from India or other countries.

You better be kidding when you said “canada has a very good public transportation system.” It’s unreliable, never on time, doesn’t even cover all routes. You better have your own car

@@jaskarankang6947 see India is a large country, as is Canada....you can't compare the two whole nations. For eg, Bangalore and Kolkata have TERRIBLE traffic jam issues. Mumbai has a flood issue with the roads. I loved the transportation system (especially the metros) of Delhi, Noida and Gurgaon, though. The rule of thumb for people looking to move to one of the Americas is being prepared to buy a car. If public transportation is an important factor to you, you can consider migrating to the UK or European countries.....

Well here is my two cents, I lived in Québec for15 years and moved to the USA/Ohio in the late 90's and I'm still in Ohio. The things I miss most is the Pizza, Poutine, Smoked meat sandwiches, Maple syrup the one in a can, (pain georges) "Pain" is french for bread and "des croûtons" which is, now this might sound gross to people outside of Québec but it's a spreadable pork product you put on toasts. By the way I visit Quebec almost every year to see family. My opinion is based on Sherbrooke, I never lived in any other province in Canada. Some cons that you don't hear often in these types of video's. It's hard to land a good job and crappy one's too it seems, especially if your a outsider. I remember back in the early 90's trying to find a job it was tough and most of the job's I had were crap jobs and the bosses were on your butt cause they know they could replace you easily. Also from watching a half dozen video's today (on the subject of moving to Canada) it "seems" like the job market hasn't changed that much. Here in Central Ohio I could quit a job today and get another one almost the next day, the job market here is crazy for all types of jobs, good ones too. My point is you can get a lot of jobs here in Central Ohio without a degree and learn on the job training. My father in law (who still lives there Québec) would say this joke often back in the day "that you needed a college degree to be a janitor in a high school". I know for a fact I could not have my current job without a degree in Canada and I live well and own a house. I'm not trying to knock Canada I still love it there. A fun little fact in Québec when I got my drivers license in the early 90's it cost like upwards in the $700-800cad and it took if I remember correctly a month to get it, it was multiple tests and tests drives. Also if I remember correctly again back then just to put the license plate on the car was $255 a year, crazy stuff. Now this might of changed and I would be interested to know. Another thing about Québec and this is for you pet lovers, in general apartments and probably condo's too, aren't very pet friendly. I'd have to ask my cousins if this has changed much in the last 20 years.

Good video, w very good advice. Except the part where u say its okay to pick up furniture for use set out on the street. Even though the furniture may look good and functions well it may not be a good idea as it may have bed bugs. Which is mainly why it's out on the street set out as garbage. It's free, but it does not mean it's safe. And once bed bugs are in someone's house it's really hard to get rid of them. The only solution sometimes being to throw out all the furniture. Which then ends up being picked up by someone else...who thinks ppl here are so generous 🙄 😒

About Transportation., depends on where you live and the destination and source. I used to live in Downtown and go to Humber and I never had to wait for more than 10-15 minutes for a bus. It is largely safe, at least much safer than India. However, come to study in a good University and a good course. Education is quite expensive here for Indians. If you really wanna make big here, get enrolled in a really good course in a good University. Indian education is also very good if you are studying in a good college there. Later, you can apply PR and find a job here. That is much cheaper way of migrating to Canada.

Why do you wish to study abroad? There is nothing great about studying abroad other than the fact that it is easier to get admission here by struggling a lot less. But your parents will burn a lot more money. Work hard. Get admission in a good Indian university. Save your parents' money. Use that money to study abroad for postgraduate education which will really give you the edge. By that time, you will be old enough to take care of yourself in an alien land. And trust me, Indian education is second to none. Indians are successful all over the world because of their education only. Good Indian universities teach you to work very hard, a skill that will make you successful at any time in your life. Life overseas is also not a bed of roses, however glamorous it may appear. And the more skilled and qualified you are from your home country, the more are your chances of success and making it big in North America.
